We are not picking in the top 10 next year. Have you seen the QBs we are playing?
Pro-bowler Matt Schaub. Runner up rookie of the year Andy Dalton. Former pro-bowlers Carson Palmer(who we tried to acquire) and Matt Hasselbeck. Former rookie of the year Sam Bradford. Alex Smith, who we tried to sign. First overall pick Andrew Luck.
Only ones that are arguably bad are Arizona(Kolb or Skelton), Jags(Gabbert), and Seahawks(Flynn, who we tried to sign and i wouldnt call a bad qb).
Those are our out of division opponents. Patriots have a hall of famer. Bills upgraded their team with a sick passrush and protection for Fitzpatrick. Then, of course, the situation with the Jets.
This year will be no cakewalk. Very competant teams, many of whom had a misleading record last season. The Rams are a perfect example. Bradford looked like a stud his rookie year. He then goes into the Josh McDaniels "lemme see if i can injury my qb" playbook, gets injured and struggles in a system that takes a few years to lockdown(Orton struggled, and got injured, his first year in the system on a more talented Denver team). As well, can anyone honestly say the Rams aren't greatly improved after this offseason? Anyone think the Seahawks will be
worse with the signing on Flynn and return of Sidney Rice?
This schedule has some favorable match ups, but this will not be a easy year. Anyone hanging onto what we did
5 years ago with a similar schedule is doing those teams a injustice.
