Here they are, the Power Rankings for week 1. Enjoy
The Drum Roll:
I am glad to be able to post these again. Because of the Great FinHeaven Crash of 07 I was unable to post the Rankings for the second half of last season. As a result of the crash, it looks like I lost about 3 years worth of Power Rankings though I would like to go ahead and thank the FH staff for being able to save as much archived posts as they did. Good Job Guys
As far as this week’s rankings go. I am at lest pleased to see we are not at the bottom of most of these guys rankings and that there is alot of positive remarks along with the rankings.
As in the past I will update these rankings every Thursday around this time and will be adding new ranking sites as they come online or as I find them.
Later and GO FINS!!!!!
Average Dolphin Rank: 29 (-)
'08 Season Highest Rank : 29 (week 1)
'08 Season Lowest Rank : 29 (week 1 )
Next Opponet: J-E-T-S suck suck suck suck.
Current Rankings:
ESPN

Dolphins Rank: 30 (-)
Comment: QB Chad Pennington's acquisition gives leadership and direction to Bill Parcells' latest rebuilding effort. Young defense has been dynamic in the preseason. (TG)

Dolphins Rank: 30 (-)
Comment: They will not be an easy out for any team on any Sunday. They will be a feisty bunch. I still think Chad Henne should be the starter, but Chad Pennington will be serviceable.

Dolphins Rank: 26 (-)
Comment: Chad Pennington will not get one vote for the MVP Award this year, but as long as he stays healthy he is going to be one of the most valuable players in the entire league. He has given this franchise a leader and given them hope, and everyone has been playing harder and with more purpose since he's come aboard. The penalties are a big problem for the Dolphins. Their effort level has been high in the preseason, but if they don't execute better they are going to cost themselves chances for wins and covers. This was also one of the oldest defenses in the league two years ago. However, they have done a great job of getting younger and faster, relying on a lot of high-motor guys.

Dolphins Rank: 30 (-)
Comment: Probably the safest prediction that one could ever make is that the Dolphins will finish with more wins than they had in 2007. Last Year: 1-15

Dolphins Rank: 26 (-)
Comment: The most interesting game on their schedule is the opener against Chad Pennington's old Jets. Tomorrow I do a handicapping piece. Boy, am I tempted to take the Fish, straight up, in this one.

Dolphins Rank: 30 (-)
Comment: As bad as Miami may be, I like what the Tuna has done so far. Pennington is a good fit for the offense, and Ted Ginn Jr. is an excellent fantasy sleeper.
NBC Sports

Dolphins Rank: 32 (-)
Comment: The Dolphins allowed a season-worst 129 rushing first downs and 153.5 rushing yards per game.

Dolphins Rank: 30 (-)
Comment: Turning this club around is going to take some time and a lot of turnover on the roster, but the Dolphins picked up one of the best in the business at getting the job done in Bill Parcells.

Dolphins Rank: 30 (-)
Comment: The biggest surprise for us is how well they are playing together all of a sudden and how much a change at the top has meant to this organization. Still, the Dolphins have issues
