The Drum Roll:

Feels good to be finally back on our way up. We are in the top 20 for all but one of the power rankings listed below. Amazing that only 3 weeks ago we were averaging 30. Another pleasant surprise is that we actually get to play someone ranked lower than us for a change. Detroit is planted in the bottom two spots on all but one rankings.

Enjoy thanksgiving and what I predict will be another great Miami win. We all have much to be thankful for the least of which is a great Miami winning streak.

Later and GO FINS!!!!!
:D

Comment: When you rush for the fewest yards in a game in franchise history (minus-3), you're not supposed to win. That might be true, but the Dolphins aren't going to give the W back.

Comment: Three consecutive victories has them back in the playoff hunt. Can you believe it? Watch out in Detroit on Thanksgiving.

Comment: A few weeks back, the Dolphins were the 31st ranked team on this board. Now, they’re in the top 20 and rising. Miami ‘s looked dominant over the course of the past three weeks, winning three straight games and placing themselves right back in the AFC playoff picture. Despite putting up an embarrassing -3 rushing yards against the Vikings on Sunday, the ‘Phins used two defensive touchdowns and a steady passing attack to wrap up a 24-20 victory. The last time a team won a game with so little rushing yards (or negative, for that matter), came in 1961 when the Eagles beat the Redskins 27-24 despite racking up -12 yards. Miami travels to Detroit on Thursday, where they’ll play the Lions in front of a national television audience. Think Joey Harrington wants to win this one? Hmm…Maybe.

Comment:
Their rushing totals were minus-three yards, and they beat the Vikings. The last time a team won with worse was Oct. 29, 1961, when Philly beat the Redskins, 27-24, losing 12 yards on the ground. This was a year after Philly won the NFL title behind Norm Van Brocklin. The '61 Eagles finished 10-4, Eastern Conference runners-up to the Giants. Hall of Famer Sonny Jurgensen throwing to Hall of Famer Tommy McDonald -- and Pete Retzlaff and Bobby Walston; Clarence Peaks running the ball and Ted Dean and Timmy Brown. So how was this cast of thousands held to minus-12, rushing, against the Skins that day? I get the feeling that somebody wasn't blocking somebody, but I don't know for sure.

Comment: Joey Harrington appears to be gaining confidence under Nick Saban, and might just keep Daunte Culpepper on the bench the rest of the season regardless of how Culpepper’s knee feels.
