Here they are, the Power Rankings for week 3.

Note: If you guys know of anyother rankings you enjoy, please let me know so I can look into added them to the list. Thanks.

Average Dolphin Rank: 21.3

Next opponent:Carolina
Average Ranking: 9

Espn

Dolphins Rank: 23 (no change)

Comment: The Dolphins aren't going to contend for a playoff spot, but they're clearly going to be more competitive than a lot of people thought.

CBS Sportsline
http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/powerrankings
Dolphins Rank: 25 (-3)

Comment:
Their defense and coaching will keep them in a lot of games, but the offense showed its true colors against the Jets.

Fox Sports

Dolphins Rank: 19 (+9)

Comment: Miami may have showed more in taking the Jets down to the wire on the road than by surprising Denver at home in the opener. The game was hard-hitting, and the Dolphins dished quite a few (ask Curtis Martin). It wouldn’t surprise many if this offense was up and down this season, but if the defense can keep opponents between 10-17 points/game, the Fins will represent Nick Saban well. And fans, enough of the early buyer’s remorse and lusting over Tampa’s Cadillac Williams. Give Ronnie Brown more than two games before moaning.
UP NEXT: vs. CAR  Like the Jets game, expect a physical battle against a run-first offense. Whoever gets a lead first will likely win.

Dolphins Rank: 15 (-4)
Comment: I really thought the O-line would be better. Well, maybe it's better than Houston's, but not many others. I thought Ronnie Brown would show more zip. He looked pretty sluggish against the Jets. When Ricky comes back, RB sits, but I can't see Maharashi Williams lighting it up behind that line, either.

USA Today

Dolphins Rank: 23 (-5)

Comment: Coach Nick Saban waiting for Ricky Williams' return.

Dolphins Rank: 17 (-13)

About.com

Dolphins Rank: 27
Comment: The Dolphins aren’t as bad as they looked last year.

How the HELL did the Redskins jump from 21 to 11 in CBS's rankings? That's just absurd...

After watching a lot of the weekend games, I think we can beat the majority of teams ahead of us on any given Sunday. The coaching and new philosophy (ie play and hit hard and make us difficult to play, less conservative on O) are sure promising. As an example of teams ahead of us in rankings, Washington just got 2 lucky plays, and after watching them and Dallas (and Brunell and Bledsoe), I like our potential a lot more.

The team is playing quality football.....for that i am happy.....

I like that part.
And fans, enough of the early buyer’s remorse and lusting over Tampa’s Cadillac Williams. Give Ronnie Brown more than two games before moaning

They beat the Cowboys... that has to be the reason. Did Buffalo go up or down in the rankings?? If they went up, now that's absurd.

added Dr.Z Thanks finjim for the heads up.

The Redskins are an interesting team no doubt....but they got lucky against the Cowboys. Although I think they will be tough to beat if they open up their offense and go deep to Santana Moss more.

As far as our rankings....I can't disagree with most of them. Like I said in another post....once Ricky comes back, if we can keep games close in the 4th quarter I believe we can start to win those games. With Ronnie and Ricky pounding defenses all game long I'd have to believe that when those guys are still fresh in the 4th from splitting carries....the defenses will start to wear down and those 3 yard runs will start turning into 5 and 6 yard runs.

USA today is now up.
