Here they are, the Power Rankings for week 4. Enjoy
The Drum Roll:
Sorry about week 3. I was on a business trip. I did go back and average week 3 ranks into the season averages though.
WOW!! That was the best game I have seen the phins play in years. After the Arizona game I was a little hesitant to walk into the sports bar wearing my RB Jersey but being the loyal fan I walked in there and sat down at a table to support my team. By the end of the day I was proudly strutting around the place showing my colors!
A game like that makes you think this team can beat anyone this year. We'll see in about a week. In the mean time I am going to enjoy bragging about my phins.
The Aqua and orange stop sign outside of my office now seems more menacing when it says:
STOP! Danger Ahead! Entering Dolphins Country!!!
Later and GO FINS!!!!!

Dolphins Rank: 25 (+5)
Comment: The Dolphins rebounded from an awful performance in Arizona to deliver an epic thumping of the Patriots. It will be a few more weeks before we learn which outing was the aberration

Comment: Who thought they had a road victory over the Patriots in them? Credit Tony Sparano and his staff for keeping this young team focused. Chad Henne can wait now.

Comment: Wow. Can't say that I saw that coming. Can't say that anyone saw that *** whooping in Foxboro coming. But this does validate my impressions of Miami through preseason. I thought that they would be much, much more competitive this year and I still think they could muster a winning record ATS this season. The biggest difference last week was their ability to run the football. They finished 22nd and 23rd in the league in rushing the last two seasons at right around 100 yards per game. In their first two games they rushed for about 120 yards combined. Then hey erupt for 216 yards against the Pats. Bad teams need to run the ball in order to cover the spread and win games. Period.

Dolphins Rank: 22 (+6)
Comment: They ran a direct snap to Ronnie Brown, with Chad Pennington out on the wing, six times, with spectacular results. This has caused journalists with a poor knowledge of football history to hail the return of the single wing, "a formation 100 years old," according to the AP. First of all, 100 years ago the basic formation was the T. Different, of course, than the open T-formation of today, but a tight alignment with the QB right behind the center. And the single-wing? Oh my, what a beautiful thing -- that few people today have ever seen. The run-pass tailback, and the spinning fullback, and the short, evil looking blocking back, designated QB in those days, cruising behind the line, delivering those devastating trap blocks. Dear departed past. Will I ever see it again?

Comment: Did the Dolphins cruise by Gainesville and smuggle Urban Meyer on their team plane's trip to New England? Talk about trippy, nobody saw THAT coming. While not to this extent, I expected a more competitive Miami offering in '08 under Parcells/Sparano. It should only get better. COOL STAT: Ronnie Brown/Ricky Williams combined for 216 rushing yards in Week 3, compared to 100 yards in Weeks 1-2 combined. THIS WEEK: Bye
