Here they are, the Power Rankings for week 5. Enjoy :D

The Drum Roll:
It is not as bad as the '04 season. We have a good QB, great coach, still have our starting RB and we have won a game. The rankings are not as bad either. Look at the 5th week in that year (http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/showthread.php?t=53125) and you will see we were 32 accross the board. It also happened to be my first power ranking thread so its pretty basic. Most people still see potential in this team. That should be encouraging. Time to put on our homer gear and support our team for a upset against the pat's!!!

Later and GO FINS!!!!! :D

Average Dolphin Rank: 24 (-1)

Next opponent: Patriots.
Average Ranking: 8

Average Rank for '06 Season So Far : 20
'06 Season Highest Rank : 13 (week 1)
'06 Season Lowest Rank :

Dolphins Rank: 23 (-2)

Comment: The Texans had given up 97 points in three games before the Dolphins and their anemic offense came to town. If Dolphins don't figure some things out on offense soon, their season is going to be under water.

Dolphins Rank: 23 (-1)

Comment: So much for all that Super Bowl talk. Losing at Houston reveals a lot. Now they have to go to New England, where a loss will end their division-winning hopes.

Dolphins Rank: 25 (-)

Comment: Horrendous loss on Sunday for this bumbling mess of a team. Miami’s been a tremendous disappointment thus far this season. The chic Super Bowl pick for many “experts,†Miami has shown absolutely nothing on offense. Things should only get worse: The Dolphins travel to New England this week.

Comment:
From William Blake: "Did He who made the lamb make thee?" In my ignorance in picking them as a Super Bowl team, did I create a true Finkelstein Monster?

Its funny. I think these power rankings still have built into them the potential that this team shows and are not reflective of how bad we are playing currently. If you were to simply go by how we are playing we are probably ranked between 28 and 30. Conversely, if you take into account that the pieces are in place for us to gel and play up to our potential we're probably 15-18. Seems these rankings split the difference

I agree, with our recent performance we should be bottom feeding. If you look at the last two rankings, those are based on statistics. Statistically we are playing around 22+. Still that alone tells us that we are out producing 9-10 other teams across 4 games. That speaks to the potential others see in this team. I think many people are looking at the talent on this team and are silently waiting for us to come alive.

we are not as bad as the raiders. Thankgoodness

There are 9 super crappy teams right now. There isn't much difference between 23-32 on those nine teams. Cleveland Tampa Bay, Miami, Detroit, Arizona, Green Bay, San Francisco, Houston, Oakland, and Tennessee. They all suck right now...

Thats about where I would put us. Everyone knows we have potential, just haven't shown it, thats why we arent at the bottom.

Detroit, Arizona and Cleveland have all shown sparks of fight. They are better than us after 4 weeks. Maybe we'll be better after 5 but right now they've outplayed us
