Here they are, the Power Rankings for week 8. Enjoy :D

The Drum Roll: After another loss and a hurricane last week the Fins only dropped an average of one spot to 22 this week in power polls. Lets see if the absence of one of those will result in the absence of another.

Average Dolphin Rank: 22 (-1)

Next opponent:New Orleans
Average Ranking: 28

Espn

Dolphins Rank: 25 (-5)

Comment: It will be interesting to see if Ricky Williams can succeed being an 8-10 carry back (so far he hasn't). Williams was always at his best getting 25 carries a game and punishing opposing defenses.

Dolphins Rank: 22 (-4)

Comment: That early-season success looks like a long time ago now. But this is what we expected from the Dolphins in the first place. The talent isn't there yet.

Fox Sports
Dolphins Rank: 16 (-5)

Comment: Zach Thomas is the only player in the league to be involved in more than 25% of his team's plays (tackles, passes defensed and takeaways). NEXT: vs. NO in Baton Rouge

Dolphins Rank: 22 (-4)

Comment:
A year ago they gave Philadelphia a No. 2 for QB A.J. Feeley. Two weeks ago they traded Feeley and a No. 6 to San Diego for QB Cleo Lemon. This is what is known as franchise building.

USA Today

Dolphins Rank: 21
Comment: Lost safety Tebucky Jones for the rest of the season.

Hey, USA Today forgot about Lemon!

It's cool. We're about where we should be minus a loss or so. We'll pick it up and go on a nice run at the end and who knows what can happen.

I agree with that statement... I still remember the game where Ricky sid to Ray Pukas in the huddle.... "give the ball to me, I'm a beast in the 2nd half".

He always seemed to get better as he got more carries.... interesting dilemma....

bump for afternoon readers.
