The Drum Roll:

So we beat the hard teams, and lose to the easy teams, Well, this season sure is entertaining. More than I can say for the last few years.

Looks like we are getting more and more respect from the press which is reflected in their rankings and comments.
Later and GO FINS!!!!!

Average Dolphin Rank: 21 (+3)
'08 Season Highest Rank : 20 (week 6)
'08 Season Lowest Rank : 30 (week 3 )

Next Opponet: Denver Ponies

Current Rankings:

ESPN

Dolphins Rank: 24 (+2)

Comment: They've beaten the best teams on their schedule. Had they been able to close out a couple of games early against beatable teams, they would be 5-2. (TG)

CBS Sports Line

Dolphins Rank: 23 (+4)

Comment: If the Dolphins are on your schedule, they will be a tough battle every week. If Ted Ginn can get it going like he did Sunday, watch out for the improved offense since he can back defenses up.

Dolphins Rank: 20 (+3)

Comment:
Chad Pennington continues to chug along, with close to 70 percent completion percentage, and a triple figure rating and only three teeny weeny little interceptions, and that's for the season, not the last game. Yup, minds his business and completes his passes and embarrasses, oh gosh, you know who.

Fox Sports

Dolphins Rank: 22 (-)

Comment:

The Dolphins are maximizing their rebuilding situation and playing smart -- leading the NFL with a +7 turnover differential. But Miami's sneaky running game has declined in production each week since Week 3 -- from 216 yards against the Pats to 52 yards vs. Buffalo last Sunday. THIS WEEK: at Broncos (4-3)javascript:void(0);

Comment:First win over the Bills since 2005. The victory keeps the Fish in the AFC East race.

Dolphins Rank: 21 (+3)

Comment: If the Dolphins are on your schedule, you are in for a fight. Quite a transformation

Dolphins Rank: 22 (+6)

Comment: Chad Pennington is playing so well that the Jets have to be wondering if it was really such a good idea to cut him and trade for Brett Favre. Of course, that's through seven games of the season, and Favre has been just a wee bit more durable than Pennington over the course of his career.

Dolphins Rank: 21 (+3)

Comment: If the Dolphins are on your schedule, you are in for a fight. Quite a transformation....i love the transformation,no longer do teams salivate at the prospect of facing us...like a few of these have said, now teams know they're in for a fight, and i love that...

If theses rankings don't prove that wins and loses aren't how you determine what a team really is, I don't know what will. Not many teams on any of those rankings are ranked where they are based on ANYTHIGN but wins and loses. That's simply an ignorant way to rank teams. You have to consider strength of scehdule more then anything else when ranking teams not wins and loses. Because wins and loses can be greatly deceiving. If you rank teams on strength of schedule it is a much better barometer of what teams really are.
