Practice Squad WRs

With Waddle likely to be out for a couple of weeks, (which is the general result when one has a high ankle sprain); Chosen in concussion protocol (and unlikely to play); and Hill at less than 100%... we need to take a long look at the PS before our next game.

There are 3 WRs on the Squad: Journeyman Freddie Swain, Browns draft-bust Anthony Schwartz, and our UDFA Braylon Sanders.

Schwartz is probably the fastest guy on the team... a HS track star, but with bad hands and who evidently ran nothing but poor routes in Cleveland. In our offense, he probably only has one use. Deep threat decoy.

Swain looks like a never-was... he's been on 4 teams and aside from his first two years as a bottom of the roster player in Seattle, he's never really stuck around... though, we've had him on our practice squad three times. On the bright side, he can return kickoffs, I guess.

Braylon Sanders would be my best guess. He's been with us for a couple of years now, so he should know the offense, and he's a very similar player to Robbie Chosen. Mostly a deep threat...

It'd be tough to go in to the Baltimore game with only 5 WRs considering that Hill is not 100%. If he were to reinjured his ankle, we'd be left with Wilson, Berrios, Claypool, and Cracraft... so I think this bears watching this week, especially if Hill draws another injury designation.
miami gonna utilize claypool more this game? Miami still got berrios too

I Believe theyve been working few packages with claypool, their just waiting for the right moments. Which is now haha, or into the playoffs

It depends upon how well he is getting the nuances of the offense, leverages and route options/adjustments.

McDs scheme is based on precision and timing.

No idea if Claypool is considered a good route runner, but if they don't trust him, his usage will be limited.

If I had to guess, Craycraft is more trusted even if physically inferior.

Yeah, obviously. But we know nothing about the severity right now. Waddle wasn't limping off the field at the end of the Cowboys game. He wasn’t out of uniform on the sidelines.

And we dont see much media on it, sounds pretty much on a down low. Which makes me think 90% he will play. Its all mindgames right now. Also i know we are all wondering about Claypool, MM already has something up his sleeve for the right moment. Its another element to the game but i guess he feels its not the right time yet

I ain't be rich like Reek, ya feel me?
Two growling teenage boys, two female golden labs...and one very hungry wife but that's a different topic Ray.
Spk Engrish!!!

One Basenji, two grown children (one of each) and a wife was everything I could handle. - LOL

Watching my 14" high, 16-pound Basenji outrun the Afghans on the racing course and catchup with and then run with the whippets was the most enjoyable part of any sport I was involved with. Pure, unadulterated fun. The "Afghan people" were not too happy about that, but I didn't care. - LOL

You don't really train the dogs to run - either they will, or they won't. - LOL
