I'm so tired of "JIMMY MAKES PLAYS"

god reading that is getting so old

If you could eliminate Omar & Armando's tweets these threads would be outstanding

The combined IQ of those 2 still falls 140 pts shy of qualifying for Mensa.

There is a lot not to like about Omar his writing style, and how much of a agenda he really does have.

What do you think his agenda is? I think that he just forms a like or dislike to certain players and tries to find evidence to support his case. In this way he is a bit like Skip Bayless, who defends his original position regardless of facts (sorry Skip - Tebow's career is sort of in the toilet, but next man up is Johnny Football). It's like he thinks he has some magic insight and thinks he is always right, rather than watch a player develop over time and being open to recognize that the original opinion may be wrong.

1. It's amazing how bad Brady Quinn, really, for someone who was considered a top 10 pick before his draft. Honestly, he should be a case study in college evaluations to see how he misled evaluators. Granted, even Cam Cameron passed on him and he didn't go until 22 to Cleveland so maybe many in the NFL actually knew. The Browns picks for qb are pure hilarity.

2. Anthony Johnson reminds me of a Jimmy Johnson style defensive tackle. I mean that as a compliment. I always liked how Jimmy built his defense. I think he'd be all over Johnson. Johnson has some quick twitch there. I like it.

3. I am intrigued by our assistant GM, Stokes. He has a good background.

4. As for all of the GM candidates we met with and passed on us, I think we got the right guy. Media favoritism for the other guys was all superficial. I mean, Ray Farmer, Lake Dawson, Caserio? Farmer doesn't seem to have any idea what he is doing in Cleveland and may be gone in a hurry. Caserio: well the Pats haven't been drafting great. Lake Dawson, pffft. This is all stupid media driven drama. Hickey seems to be a good fit. It's hard to see what is happening behind the scenes, but we seem to have upgraded significantly. All of the drama and negativism against Miami during the process is irrelevant and not on anyone's radar now. Of course, the proof will be in the pudding. But, James will start. Landry looks like an impact player. Turner is likely a future starter. Aikens is acclimating to safety but was running second team. Tripp and Fede were steals. Anthony Johnson, Chris McCain as undrafteds could be freaking NFL starters. Damien Williams looks good too. Miami's scouting seems to have been fine as we have found good players in the late rounds (think Jimmy Wilson and Charles Clay), and that hasn't changed so the common denominator is good scouting. But the GM lacked the horsepower to make decisions.

sad thing is quinn could probably go play in chip kellys system which looks a little different than ours to me still and fare ok...although any time he has to read the field and go thru progressions he has tunnel vision

this new offense is more than just a system qb...i was glad to see that in the bucs game...while there's some predetermined calls we are still making him make reads etc and more than just one...some stuff though is like taking candy from a baby...just have to execute the throws...

Dolphins are doing a lame tackling drill right now. 2 thumbs down. This ain't real.

This is why I don't follow Omar. He always think he is smarter than everyone else and always has to slap the team.

Omar better be careful before he dislocates his shoulder trying to pat himself in the back so much, and so hard.

So enough about Omar.

Anyone else pretty happy to hear that Charles Clay killed it in practice today and is tearing it up on those seam routes?

He seems to love himself a Moore sandwich each time he watches practice, and is not very shy to show it. When Omar like a player, he will down play his main rival, and talk up the guy he loves. Honest, unbiased reporting does not live in the Kelly household.

When Moore makes a good play, I know that I will be reading about it from Omar very soon, when Tannehill make a good play, it's a toss up if we will read it, have it ignored all together, or complementing what a great play the receiver made.

Sounds like a lot of posters here.

I know I am, we need him in a huge way, he can be a special security blanket for Tannehill, personally I would not play him against the Cowboys, we need him to be as close to 100% against the Patriots.

Yet none of them get paid for their reporting.

"OH yeah.......Jimmy played pretty good."

I would have given Jimmy a crisp five dollar bill to scream "JIMMYS DOWN" when he bounced off Evans.

I am sorry for my rant on Omar Today, normally I could care less about Omar one way or the other, just seemed today he was really a bit obnoxious in his reporting, but like J. David wrote and ps earlier...enough about Omar. Sorry again everyone.
