What happened with .Patterson?

Basically he showed up for the team meeting in the morning before the game, then just didn't show up come game time. No call no nothing. Jet's GM called his agent etc., and no one had an answer where he was. They started wondering if he was in the hospital or jail etc. Just basically bailed on the team. Maybe one of the Jet fans that lurk around here can offer up more info.

youd think it wouldn't be so hard to find a kicker. Their one and only job is to kick field goals; i always wondered why they cant do both punting and kicking (it would save money too). If Fields can punt good, he should be able to kick well too.

Yeah read that about Dmitri Patterson last night, crazy the guy went AWOL, can't say it couldn't have happened to a better team. When healthy he was pretty good.

If Clay, as reported, doesn't kit up in the last preseason game, it will be very interesting to see how much playing time Hoskins gets.

Additionally, from my end for TE's - it appears that Kyle Miller is backing up Sims in the in-line position - will they double up by having Hoskins back up Clay in the H Back role? Considering the success they've had with Clay - will their mirror with a similar skill set in Hoskins, especially considering Clay is in the final year of his contract - if I'm not mistaken.

There was a dynamic element to the TD catch and run by Hoskins - one that, on that play alone - will mean he gets a look if he isn't on the 53 - will they risk waiving him and trying to sneak him on to the PS - I'd certainly take the risk on that one play alone which is indicative of his college highlights.

I wouldnt say that if Lynch doesn't go onto IR he will be on the 53. no way we release him in year 1. that leaves 1 spot between Brackett and Hoskins. Bracket impressed me

One series in the garbage time preseason game is not going to make them better. Branden Albert should be in bubble wrap for the next 13 days.
