praying for a Christmas MiraCLe

As in MCL and not ACL. Give us some MRI magic Santa we deserve it.

I think just getting a fully rehabbed, healthy Tannehill back next season is a big enough gift. No chance that Ryan sees the field anymore this year . . .even if its only somehow a miracle sprain, he has to sit on that for a few weeks and by then we are either eliminated or we are playing well enough with Moore to make the playoffs.

I hope he is able to be on the sidelines on Saturday Night, close to Gase and to give support to Matt Moore. That would be awesome to see.

If it's a torn ACL, would he be good to go start of next regular season??? That's my biggest worry, not sure how these things typically shake out

I think anybody saying "he for sure" will be ready week 1 is just trying to ease the pain of the injury for themselves.

He can be, but this sucks that it happened in mid December, that gives him roughly 9 months post surgery to be ready week 1. He won't be full contact for any of the camp and as a QB we really won't know how he responds mentally to contact, to planting his foot, until he gets some real game action.

With Brady, he got hurt early September and 9 months he was ready to go . . . however that was in June, so he was able to go to camp and test it out properly before the start of the season.

Ryan more than likely won't have that luxury so we just have to hope that everything rehabs well.

Depending on the severity of the tear. I think he misses part of September. Problem is it happened late in the year.

Flacco got hurt at the end of the season last year and was ready to go for week 1. I have faith that it can happen, but every body is different.

Carson Palmer did the same thing....but you never know. As you said, everyone is different.

We'll know more after today

If this is a ACL, a surgery could render his knee and the ACL stronger than before. I believe given Tannehill's desire to come back, he will be ready for action come September 1st. However, he will miss a lot of camp reps and year 2 in Gase's system. An MCL injury could be anywhere from 3-8 weeks recovery. Given the early reaction from the team, I doubt this is a MCL strain.

I could actually see Cutler coming here as a stop gap now....have mixed feelings about that one.

I have no doubt ryan will be on the sidelines the rest of this season giving the team support
