Pre-season can cause trades exp ( Josh Johnson)

You guys really need to chill out. We may be in the bottom tier of quarterbacks in the league but we are nowhere NEAR the worst.

How would you guys feel if Tarvaris Jackson was the starting QB? Better than Henne? Get the f*** outta here with that noise.

Actually, were really close to the worst, only 6 starting QB's in the NFL last year threw more interceptions than touchdowns and Henne was one of them, he also accomplished that feat in the prior season as well.

you mean like Aaron Rodgers?

Nope, wrong team, NOT Green Bay!! lol

.. Josh Johnson is on Tampa, behind Josh Freeman.

Nothing improves your team, like trading for the wrong guy on the wrong team. Stuff like this helps explain why folks are so high on him while his body of work is much worse than what we already have, as seen in his stats I posted. Give up a 3rd Round pick for a 56 QB Rating????

Gruden drafted him

he's grown since coming into the NFL i really liked what i saw from him when josh freeman was hurt.

he has potenial to be a really good qb maybe not a 2nd but i would surely trade a 3rd for him

i would take him over orton thats for sure ( people should go to broncos forums and find out more info on 3 and out or ton)

Gruden "The Collector" ? When you collect that many QBs it means you don't really have any. After Saban's Ronnie Brown/Gus Frerrote brain fart, Gruden was the other moron who passed on Aaron Rodgers deciding instead that he'd stand pat with already well-traveled Brian Griese. If Gruden likes a QB, my first inclination is "uh oh".

Gruden had no interest in developing a QB, which is probably why he didn't have interest in Rodgers. Also, he didn't really draft Johnson. He may have OK'd the pick, but then he flat out ignored him, pretty much refusing to even play him in the preseason.

no. i think youre missing my point. Aaron Rodgers sat on the bench for 3-4 years, and look at him now

He's not missing a thing. Unlike Rodgers who sat behind a 1st ballot HOF. This guy has a 56 OB rating and would be the 3rd stringer or cut by the phins at the end of camp.

if we traded for anyone other than Orton (which we won't be trading for) I'd take a shot at Matt Flynn of the Packers. He is familiar with the type of offense we will be running, has studied behind Rodgers, and would probably be relatively cheap (maybe a 5th or 6th round pick?). Just a thought

Matt Flynn has proven less than Tyler Thigpen. Aj Feeley had done 5 times as much in his career before he came here, which wasn't much.

He also liked Pat White. Uh oh, indeed.

Sure did!! Now we're judging QBs by their time on the bench??

It would depend on what the asking price was, but I'd be willing to take a flyer on him. I'd prefer someone who has the potential to get better to a guy like Orton who is as good as he is ever going to be, and that's average.

He was a 5th round pick. He's done nothing to prove he's worthy of anything more than that. You'd trade a 3rd for him?
