Pre-Season football is like Light Beer

Both are terrible knockoffs of great products. It amazes me why the NFL charges full price for Pre-season games. Is light beer anything besides regular beer + water? Why is it then the same price? Can anybody name a light beer that tastes decent?
 
Amstel Light, but they didn't know light beer was supposed to suck.
 
Bud Lite is alright and it doesnt have frerotte turning the ball over 3 times. Luckily the regular season is coming and he can skunk it from the sidelines.

Why do people bash lite beers. Do People that drink nothing but shots bash the real beer people? And do the moon shine drinkers come down on the 80 proof drinkers? Lite beer isn't fooling anyone with its content. Those that drink it know what they are getting when they buy it.
 
The regular season is a knockoff of the playoffs which is a terrible knockoff of the superbowl. What kind of BS is the league trying to feed us?

is there some background to this thread like either someone forced you to buy tickets to a preseason game this week or forced you to buy a beer that wasnt your favorite?
 
I have another analogy. Let's see how I can post it without getting a vacation from the Mods.

Preseason Football is like getting (insert a name for a body part here) from a girl who does not (what you do after chewing your food). In theory it sounds great, but it's really just a tease and a huge waste of time.:rofl3:
 
Preaseason football is like going out on a nice date with a hot chick, going to see a nice movie.....going back to her place after and then you just get a kiss goodnight and nothing more. :(
 
so if I guess this right, your expectations of what a preseason game would be fell short? I guess after 20+ years of preseason football i know what to expect.

Nope...Just drinking a light beer left over from a party, and watching the game on TV right now (out of habit) and not really thrilled with either of them.
