Yesterday I looked at our past 4 or 5 drafts and noticed that usually only 3, 4, or 5 max. players have stuck/contributed/started on our team.
The other guys were either out right cut (Pat White, Henne, Murphy, Turner), left to find success on other teams (Parmele (sp?), Satele, Wade Smith, Gates), lost via free agency (Long, Smith, Langford), or were traded to other teams (Ginn Jr., Vontae).
Long can probably be eliminated from the discussion since the average NFL career is 4 years, anything over that is gravy to a team IMO.
So to keep this short, how many of our 11 draft picks would you like to see stick this year and make it to 2014.....and what positions?
I'm hoping at least 6 guys can make the team, let alone contribute at some point.
Other than our weaknesses CB and OT, the young pups will have to be studs to make this roster.
What do you think? (Is 11 picks too many not to trade up?)
