7 and 9, 8 and 8????? Come one people!!! Just how many injuries are you predicting? We could have gone 8 and 8 last year easily. Look at the Tennesse, Cinci, Pittsburg, Seattle, either Buffalo games, or the first Jet game. All were very winnable only to be lost late in the 4th quarter.

I'd say we go at least 10 and 6 and here's a reason for each additional victory to last years record:

1. No more wienerstedt and his pathetic compilation of play calling and coordinators. How many Wins did his lack of game planning/adjustemnts cause a fairly talented team last year? Saban will tweak the D and Linehan will continue the O's progress.

2. Hudson Hauck (sp?) The guy transforms lazy inefficient linemen into a technical sound disciplined unit. Can we say complete turn around??? prepare to be impressed.

3. We have a new stud Running Back and the distinct possibility or RW returning. We all agree that the running game or lack there of really hand cuffed the offense last year.

4. Upgraded D line. The additions of Traylor, Holliday and Carter inject leadership, skill and depth. You at least have to give me that Traylor is an upgrade over zgnonia and Carter over D. Bowens.

5. 3 quality defensive starters in the draft to add youth, and at positions that they can be mentored by all pros and be brought along properly.

6. Competition at qb whos' name isn't Fiedler. Come on, that in itself is a 5 game upgrade. Ok a little homerish on that rationale, but they do have a strong and possibly improved WR corp to throw to though.

10 an 6 sounds just about right, anything less is a severe disappointment IMHO.

The problem w/ that line of thinking is that just about every team can say they could have won a few more. We only got blown out once, does that mean we can go 15-1 this year? of course not, you were a 4-12 team for a reason and you haven't improved that drastically to think you can win any more than 7 or 8.

nostradamus is back! :) btw, the games we should have won werent blowouts, they were close going into the 4th.

My impartial non-biased prediction:

1. New England 11-5 (They won't be as good as last year, but win the EAST)
2. Miami Dolphins 9-7 (With Ronnie, and a little luck we get a WILDCARD)
3. NY Jets 8-8 (I see Pennington struggling with his shoulder, EARS to the
rescue??????? :D ).
4. Barfolo Bills 7-9 (Losman???? No QB, a shaky running game=last place).

I'm sorry, what planet are you from??? We were 4-12 for a reason, we had a lot of bad luck last year more then our fair share. The coaching was crap, Ricky quit and the Oline and OC were both new. We were 10 and 6 the year before and had double digit wins 3 out of the last five seasons. But you like the typical Jills sludge think the fins are 4-12 ??? That's just too funny.I know thats what you want to believe, but if you had just the tinyest of brains you'd know the Fins aren't a 4-12 team even with DW. Every team is allowed a bad season from time to time, but how did we go from 1 losing season in 16 years to 4-12 in one year??? Please humor us and tell us why we are 4-12???

If Ricky comes back and Boston plays well we should be right back to where we where just a week before Ricky quit and DB blew out his knee, except we now have a coach that understands football and one of the best O line coaches in the game and an O coordinator that had great success with the Vikes and the #2 overall pick in the draft in Ronnie Brown, and quite a few upgrades to the D-Line, so before proceed to tell us we are really a 4-12 team try taking the wishful thinking out of the equation and you might earn a little respect here, otherwise why post??? I guess now that Fiedler is a Jet you think your a SB team right??? I love how the Jets used a first rd pick on a kicker....good pick :rofl3: .

You won 10 games the year before b/c you beat 2 bad teams 4 times(Buf & NYJ), you haven't made the playoffs since '01. You had some bad luck but that wasn't the only reason you were bad, you still wouldn't have been a playoff team even if Ricky was there and Boston was healthy. You would have been better but not a playoff team. Now you have 2 QBs who have shown little in their NFL careers and you have a shaky OL. You definitely have skill players but if Feeley is on his back what good will that do?(tht's assuming he can even deliver w/ time).

I think we CAN be a SN team b/c we weren't far away last year and we are better on paper this year. We drafted Nugent in the 2nd rd not first. You guys gave up #1 picks for Ricky(never saw a playoff game), a #2 for a 3rd string QB and a #3 for a 3rd string RB.

correct me if im wrong, but didnt the jets pad the ole win column last year by beating up mostly cupcakes? i mean you did get 2 ws from whooping up on our sorry asses
 
I havennt seen a thread like this in a while.

IMHO the standings are:

1) Pats 12-4 (Unless some horrible accident occurs they are still the best.)

2) Jets 10-6 (Unfortuneately they are No 2, Hell they are a good team)

3) Phins 9-7 or 10-6 (We are gonna be a good team this year, if the offseason next year, goes as well as this one has (so far) we will go all the way.

4) Bills 8-8 or 7-9 (Last but not least, they are last season's Bengals they have offensive talent, but a decent D,as well as an Inexperienced QB. Bills ans you are nuts if you think Losman will pull a Big Ben, He didn't do all that by himself, The Steelers are a much better overall team than Buffalo.)
