Predict the POSITIONS the Dolphins will draft in each round

Right now I think it will go like this, but I could change my mind

1. ILB
2. S
3. OG
4. RB
5. G/C
6. OT
7. WR

1. OT/G Martin
2. ILB Borland
3. RB Sankey
4. WR Huff
5. CB Exum
6. OT/G
7. OT/G

I was very critical of Ireland and didn't think he was a good GM, but I'm not sure I understand the hate for the late rounds picks. He was probably one of the better GMs at finding late round talent and UDFA's. Since 2010 this is our 5-7 round picks:

2010: Nolan Carroll, Reshad Jones, Chris Mccoy, Austin Spitler

2011: Charles Clay, Frank Kearse, Jimmy Wilson

2012: Josh Kaddu, BJ Cunningham, Kheeston Randall, Rishard Matthews

2013: Mike Gillislee, Caleb Sturgis, Don Jones

I think every 7th rounder except for Kearse and Mccoy were on the 53 man roster at some point.

So all in all 2 starting DB's in Carroll and Jones, Starting TE in Clay, slot corner/backup S in Wilson, a solid no. 4 receiver in Matthews who was solid in relief of Gibson last year, and a kicker who had a pretty bad year, but really wasn't bad scouting considering all he was at florida was an accurate, strong legged, clutch kicker who everyone on this forum wanted at some point in that draft.

Criticize the rest of the drafts, but IMO he was able to hit on the later rounds, which you also have to give big credit to our scouts that he hired.
100% correct. Ireland was pretty good at finding some acorns. His big consistent failure was acquiring the wrong talent for the O-line (Free Agency and Draft) with the glorious exception of Mike Pouncey. Year after year big $ and/or high draft picks were spent on relative failures.
Make no mistake. Ireland deserved to be fired but you are barking up the wrong street by hammering the late round draft picks.

Most of the above scenarios look logical and likely. However since I believe Hickey's on a 2 year deal, the curve-ball I'd throw into is that he might just take Aaron Murray, Zach Mettenburger, Jimmy Garappollo or someone else highly rated, if they fall that far into the 3rd or 4th rounds. Don't necessarily agree, but from a pragmatic standpoint, RT17 is not his QB and unless he gets some more job security guarantees from Ross, instead of rising or falling with him, it would be prudent to have someone promising waiting in the wings gaining experience, if Ryan falters this season

Good thought. I would like to see them get Bryn Renner as an UDFA. Also haven't they spent some time with Logan Thomas? He might be worth a late round flyer.

If Hickey really does draft BPA this will be tough, but eher would be my guess;

1. CB
2. OL
3a. WR
3b. RB
4. OL
5. S
6. LB
7. DT

I really think they will trade back or at least try to in round one.
