I’m guessing 7-10.
I got 7-10 as well but I am afraid it could be worse that that.

I try to be as realistic as possible when I do this but I am having trouble scraping up lot of optimism to overcome.

Maybe if the team has an improbably healthy season they could win 10 games but that never happens to Miami.

Let's just start 1-0 and worry about the rest as it comes.

Just because Miami has swept the Jets and Patriots in 3 of the 4 years Tua has been in Miami; doesn't mean it'll continue. And last year the Jets beat Miami handedly with Rodgers at QB. Now with Vrabel coaching New England things could change rather quickly. Vrabel is a notoriously tough coach who's teams will beat you up in the trenches and play a physical brand of football. A Miami Dolphin weakness.

I just don't see more than 2 wins at home with such a tough home schedule. Then add in the 3 cold weather games on the road in December, kind of dampens any hope of more than 5-6 wins this year. Miami notoriously doesn't play well in that final month in cold weather. All this without factoring in the young and inexperienced players Miami will be dependent on this year. Not looking good in 2025.

The schedule makers are testing that theory by scheduling both teams against the Dolphins during primetime.
OOPs ... one of those teams in primetime

In the old days, a Marino vs Ken O'Brien Dolphins-Jets primetime game could be high-scoring and worthy of being "pay-per-view". Today however, a Dolphins-Jets primetime game should be "pay-us-to-view".

Lol our schedule looks really easy compared to previous years...I get being pessimistic, but it seems borderline stupid and obnoxious.

If we lose more games than we win with this schedule we really suck and all heads should roll...I don't see that at all...how can we not win at least 4 games before Baltimore game? I'd expect to win 5 by then...even if we suck this year we should win at least 8 or 9 minimum.

This looks like a 10 win schedule to me, and I'm not too happy with the team and how theyve handled the off-season.

I went high and said 8-9 but I think that's the ceiling. 4-13 floor.

Too many teams got better while we are hell bent on getting worse ... improvement just doesn't make any sense unless all 100 of the 'ifs' work out in our favor.
that is precisely why this franchise is chronically going NOWHERE! Every year is a variation of the same theme – the roster / org is riddled with unsolved mysteries and fundamental questions that add up to way too much reliance on unproven/unreliable components (personnel) and untested procedures (coaching, system design, game plan etc.).

Seems to me having a “plan” that is based on everything (fingers crossed) going your way in terms of unforeseen complications and unanticipated outcomes is destined to be wrecked by the so-called “law of averages.”

Or put simply, we have repetitively produced a product that incorporates basic, elemental flaws that inevitably become exposed.

Such a structure needs to be demolished and rebuilt from the ground up by a NEW engineering team and architect. My opinion. Of course.

Yes this is the only correct response unless you’re assuming Tua is going down. However with a healthy Tua this team should be a 8 win floor team and if they make the playoffs will depend how many they can win in toss up games like chargers,Tampa bay, cincy and the Steelers. Lucky for us 3 of those 4 games are at home where Miami is 27-8 under Tua. Steelers are the easiest of the 4 and the only away game and the only reason I have them there is I’m assuming they sign Rodgers. If their roster stays as is they have the worst qb room in the league and I’m not worried about the game at all.

Indy, pats x2, jets x2, atl, Cleveland, Carolina, New Orleans. Should all be wins, I’m not seeing anything other than delusion and complete lack of clue about other teams in the nfl rosters. Isn’t the anti Tua’s crowds saying how Tua only beats up on weak teams? Well here’s your weak teams. Not only is there a significant decline in all those teams qb play but Miami’s roster is better across the board without even factor what should be a large gap between Tua and those teams QBs. I don’t think he only beats up on them but it is true that he does beat up on them and for the most part under Tua Miami has not lost to inferior teams. He usually blows them out. The only two I can think of is the Tennessee game in which we were down 4 of 5 olinemen as well as holland, Howard and Eli apple were out as well as Hill got hurt during the game and it took the defense blowing the largest lead in with like 3 minutes left to go in nfl history and the cardinals game this year in which Miami had a 9 point lead in the 4th and defense proceeded to let the cards go on a 5+ minute drive to give them a gw fg. So even the rare losses to inferior teams have been very close games in which the defense fell apart.

Despite the decline in secondary and I don’t think it’s as big as people think considering both our safeties last year were awful and it was maybe the worst duo in the league, cb 2 remains untouched and the only major loss will be Ramsey who had his worst year as a pro. To replace in decline you have a much more important element of football which is pass rush and getting Chubb and Phillips back with the addition of Grant should hide any decline if there is any compared to last unit. Defense I expect to be around the same mark somewhere between 10-15 best unit. When Tua played as ugly as it was, as bad as the oline and defense was, Tua lead dolphins offense was top 10 in points per drive, yards per play and average yards per drive. With the addition of subtraction of Robert Jones and Eich from the starting lineup (also replacing them with James Daniels who’s an upper tier guard and Savaiinaea should be a significant upgrade, at worse a slight upgrade. Really hard to find worse than Jones and Eich) as well adding improvements with inline blockers at tight end, a big tall wideout who’s been a solid wideout in his career and had 9 td’s last year as well as adding a power back who just so happened to be the best back in college football in 2023 I’m not sure how you can argue that assuming Tua stays healthy how that’s not a top 5 unit.

i hope and pray tua is healthy the whole season. i want a clean evaluation and no more excuses. they need to know what we have here, because soon it is time to sh*t or get off the pot with where things are w the team. it is a big year in this regard. then of course subsequent to what we learn this year, the owner needs to make the right decisions, which is also a big issue.
I agree with you here. This is the year for Tua, either he can't or he can. If he faulters during pivitoal moments... then kick rocks im done.

10-7 with a healthy Tua.

If Tua goes down early in the season then the Dolphins might unintentionally tank the year, which would be fine by me considering the next draft class is QB friendly

6-11 is what I got and of course you can always give one or take one away so somewhere between 5-12/7-10.
