I'll say it now: I'm predicting T. Green will have a pro-bowl year this year!

He's a shade under 40. There is no way he is making the Pro Bowl.
Anyway, I say in 2008-2009, John Beck will have a Pro Bowl year. Kid's got all the tools to succeed and he's got Trent Green helping him learn.
I don't think he'll be put in the situation to be a pro bowler this year. The offense will go through Ronnie, he's the one that needs to land in the pro bowl/ However, I do think Green can play at a pro bowl type year, but he won't have those guady numbers that Manning and Palmer post. I'm looking at 20-25 TDs with 8-12 INTs. He will do just fine for us.
The next pro bowl QB will be John Beck in 2010 on route to the Super Bowl at home. :D
Wow, someones talking FOOTBALL!
OK, this is a welcome change I guess.
You might be right about that, but, I watch a lot of KC games (second favorite team) and Trent can definitely still play. The guy had his bell rung pretty good last year and came back with an OL that was injured and an offense that was struggling. I know he's on the downside of his career but if he could give us one or two years to help win some games and mentor Beck that would be a successful way to end his career. With his ability, and the new offensive playmakers, and a real offensive coach, and the same defense, this team could very well make the playoffs and compete.
If they did make the playoffs and compete, Green and the Dolphins would be the turnaround story of the year and Green just might get a pro-bowl nod.
That's what I'm hoping for.
GO PHINS~!
I usually don't get good conversation at this time at night except with a few others. (Rest in Drunkness, Ice, because I know you're getting hammerd at the Ducks celebration. )
I love that bold part that you pointed out. A lot of fans were hard on Green for his performance in the playoff game but if you watch that offense as a whole, they were atrocious. What did the great Larry Johnson do in that game? He was more invisible than Green, so it's not like Green was the guy holding them back.
Yes, he is on the downside but as you pointed out, that doesn't mean he can't still play. He has the ability to make us contenders and if we keep him injury free, playoffs.
