I predicted that we would have a 1985 repeat when we played the bears. Now I'm predicting that we'll make it to the playoffs. I know we have a bunch of non believers or draft eager fans but I think this is the year.

If we do make it, we'll be in the superbowl. Making it to the playoffs will be that one piece that this team was missing from the beginning. By that I mean, that one important motivational factor that started four games ago. Only this time around, it's a superboost.

if we do make the playoffs then im going to be real high on our superbowl hopes, we would certainly be the hottest team in the nfl and we would be playing for home field advantage

A Super Bowl appearance would be playing over our heads IMO. Dosen't mean it can't happen but they'll have to be playing perfect football to make it through the playoffs IF they even beat the odds and make it in the playoffs.

Ronnie Brown returning healthy is a must as well.
No way we even get to the playoffs if he's out for too long.
At this point it looks like he won't be back for N.E.
HUGE problem.

we are against tough odds. It will be hard as heck but im sure hoping we can do it.

makes me cringe to even admit it, but i think the playoffs is juuuust out of reach, just like last year. there are too many teams ahead of us. too many things would have to happen for us and i just don't see it happening. the two wildcard teams in my humble opinion are the broncos and chiefs, both afc west. all the other teams, ours included, either got hot too late, waited too long to make their moves or just plain suck. there's my 2cents.

I predict you're wrong. This team won't make the playoffs and it will have nothing to do with how the rest of the teams in the conference finish.

The Dolphins will lose at least one more division game, maybe two, and the Colts game won't be a cakewalk either.

And if we end up missing the playoffs by a game or two, the blame falls squarely on the players and the coaches who were ill-prepared to start the season and lost to the Bills and Packers at home, and to the Texans in Houston (not to mention Olindo "Missed FG" Mare coming up short in the game against the Jets).

If he does not play for NE game that would be an issue. For a playoff run we definitely need our best back playing. Agreed no RB no playoffs.

Anything's possible, such is life. So stay positive. What else ya got? Cynicism? Bitterness? Life's too short. Discuss being out of the playoffs when we're out of the playoffs. Passed four weeks the dream has stayed alive. Be grateful for atleast that and keep the faith every Sunday. There's no point in being defeatist. Specially when you have yet to be defeated.

Well said.

I have to say this though. If we go 10-6 and get into the playoffs, how could we not be a favorite to get to the SB? We would have beaten Chicago, Kansas City, Jacksonville, New England, New York, Buffalo, and Indianapolis. That's absolutely killer. Who else left do we have to beat that we hadn't already? What else would we see that we hadn't already? We'd have seen top defenses, top offenses, etc. We'd be prepared for it all.

I'm sure you know that the atmosphere on the field is a lot different in the playoffs. We could win out, make the playoffs and easily lose in the first round.
