I hate to post this because obviously I want himi on the team or providing value in a trade.

But consider:
Salguero's latest article says he is taking lunch with Denzel Washington.
Taylor is represented by the big boys in Hollywood.
He is likely going to the finals of this silly Dance competiton...

He clearly has had this plan to go Hollywood...now that he has had a taste...

So how are two a days going to sit with a player whose heart may know longer be in it. If he plays another year...he'll be turning 35...that isn't exactly a spring chicken in Hollywood...he'll be a year removed from his current tv exposure....

I am sure I am going to get bashed for this post, but I DON'T WANT HIM TO JUST RETIRE...I can just see it happening.

Anything can happen, that's life. I hope he stays and teaches Jake Long a thing or two on how to block a speed rusher.

I'm sure it will also be hard to line up without your brother in law next to you....that was always so cool to have the 2 of them together for so long.

I could care less what he does anymore. You shouldn't get toasted for telling the truth. Some player fans may take offense but us Dolphin fans are sick and tired of the soap operah he has brought to the team.

He seems to have every intention of playing this year, when you watch him interviewed.

I'm going to go ahead and predict that he will NOT retire...simply because he's too image conscious. Once upon a time Jason Taylor bore witness to another star that retired very suddenly and very unexpectedly, right before Training Camp. The fallout from that wrecked Ricky Williams' name forever. Even though it is clear that Taylor's reasons would not be as dopey (pun intended) as Ricky's...Jason is so incredibly uptight about his image that he will still not risk having his name associated with Ricky Williams as yet another Dolphins star player that unexpectedly retired on the eve of camp.

He's too calculating a guy for such a sudden and rash decision. As his agent has pointed out, this stuff he's doing now is the coming to fruition of plans that have been meticulously laid out since he was drafted out of Akron. If he were planning on retiring, he would have laid out certain groundwork for it by now. He has not. He has specifically talked about the upcoming season, the Dolphins, especially with respect to the ribbing he expects to take for his dancing routines from the locker room.

Jason will play an entire NFL season and go through two-a-days simply for the sake of his image, if nothing else.

At least Ricky didn't trash our team and cry for our rivals QB. Pun intended.

What soap opera!? All the guy's done is go on a show, he hasn't bad-mouthed anyone publicly, hasn't threatened to hold out, hasn't demanded a trade. Jason Taylor has handled this with a lot of class and if it's a soap opera at all it's because of a bunch of idiots writing that it is on their blog.

Jason Taylor can retire whenever he wants just like I can quit my job whenever I want, it's his choice. I think he plays out his contract but it could just be wishful thinking.

Doesn't he have about $14 mil coming to him the next two years? Please tell me where he thinks he's getting that kind of scratch in Hollywood anytime soon. He'll be back...

Do you realize what you're saying? Jason Taylor has not once said he was considering retirement this year. It's the same "stupid JT forums" you're talking about that keep casting doubt on everything he does he hasn't said it himself.

while i agree with you that he won't retire this summer do you see him going the route of a strahan or a big daddy in that he will not participate in camps ck? it may or may not be a good idea 1. i would hate to see him get hurt during camps(a risk everyone takes) 2. the club med aproached really killed us during the season but jt seems to be staying in good physical shape..some players take up karate or boxing to help their game but noone complains.,jt is dancing which may help him become more limber and nimble to play olb.

He won't do anything that risks his image. He will report, he will play the good soldier, and then when teammates and opposition players start ripping on him for his Dancing stuff, he'll show them up with his play on the field.

I believe Jason Taylor could very well be in line for his finest year as a pro. And then he'll either retire, or he could feel compelled to sign with whatever team looks like they could be the best in the NFL and ready for a championship run, so that he can cap off his career with a ring. Probably New England. Zach may have purposely avoided New England but Jason Taylor would not.

The soap operah of half-assing the majority of last year , saying he would trade our team for his boyfreind (Tom Brady) and taunting our new FO with his ballerena dancing when ask what BP thought of him dancing. Then crying to the media that BP didn't ackowledge the fairy when he decided he would grace our hard working players doing offseason training together with his presence. Does that sum it up for you or do I need to simplifie it for you guys?
