Prediction: July 28th NFL agreement reached. Vince Young not happening

ok i am really going out on a limb. I feel strongly about july 28th being the day the new agreement is reached. Read it and file it away. This is based on scuttlebutt i have been hearing and other factors. I feel good about this day.

Vince Young. not going to happen. Stickin with all my original predictions from earlier in the year.

The NFL owners and players are moving toward an agreement that could get nearly all training camps open on time and start the much aniticipated free agency period July 28, according to an ESPN report.

i am really eager for free agency to start. We have several players sitting on the back burner. I think with a couple of the signings all the fin fans will be back in the mood instantly....

I believe it was the Mike Pouncey draft pick? Could have been something else too. I know most of the board crucified him for it, including myself, and then it actually happened. Props to him. I hope it doesn't take that long to get a deal in place though.

cant i just use Mike Pouncey like obama does bin laden. If anyone try's to give me crap i just say Mike Pouncey (saturday night live skit) . lol..just kidding.

i have to review them but i think i said......ireland and sparano stay, ronnie goes, ricky stays, palmer in a trade, and pouncey was our #1 pick. there was some other stuff. we have 2 great free agents ready to sign......pending cba which i just predicted july 28th..... the 28th is me trying to put the puzzle peices together, not an actual conspiracy. we shall see.

Any idea who the 2 great free agents are? My guess is that one is Deangelo Williams. I have no idea who the other one could be.

For second there I thought you said June 30th and I got happy, but then I realized you said July 30th. That's way too late. They are trying to find a deal long before that. St Louis and Chicago start their camps very soon.

I hope you are wrong, but I have a strong feeling you are not. I am hopeful that something can be done in the next few days or by the end of next week, but I have my doubts. All signs lately seem to be pointing to a late July possibly early August deal. At this point though, I wouldn't be surprised if early August is considered to be way too optimistic.

I could go either way with Vince Young. If signed, I don't think he starts, but he would give Henne a good competition. If they can't land Orton or Palmer, Young and Bulger are the next two on my list.

hope your right about palmer to miami in a trade and when he wins the QB job here we can sign him to 2-3 year deal and next year hopefully we can move up enough to grab one of the 3 QBS in the draft ( perf Luck ) and he can sit behind palmer and groom before being thrown into the fire right off the bat . imo if this is the way it gose ill be one of the happest fin fans alive

IMO im with you in this order though palmer, Orton , hasselback, Bulger ,and then Vince

I'm not into predictions, but his is the way I see/hear it ....

Don't think we'll have an agreement until pre-season starts OR ... into the season!! (think enduro's 7/30 jibes with pre-season??)

WHY?? ... The owners are hell-bent to 'take back money' ... and I see no reason why the players would agree to that until they are forced to by desperation!!

Just don't see the Kumbaya Moment ... where the owners say, "What the hell, let's be fair" ... and go "status quo" & not snatch the pile of money.

(Remember that ole saying, that's tested & true ... Follow the Money$$$$$)

if it takes that long to get a deal done i'm guessing we're talking 10 days to 2 weeks of free agency and 2 weeks of camp and maybe 2 preseason games...16 game sched may still work

but enduro i can't take you all that seriously unless you throw out the 2 names of big time free agents "ready to sign"...i'm guessing deangelo williams is one and who else???
