Alot of Manny Wright bashing is going on and I know the kid has done some things he shouldnt have, like show up out of shape....but my prediction is this kid will be a key player up front THIS YEAR.....he will start or play alot and will make a big impact...SABAN will whip him into shape....the talent is there and even though there's alot of negativity I feel he will prove all his doubters wrong

I guess its more about proving himself right.
 
I predict at exactly 9:43 tonight he will call his local Dominos Pizza and order 3 large peperoni pies with the cheese in the crust and a 2 liter bottle of coke and have it delivered to his house

I also predict that that delievery will arrive at his house at aproximitly 10:04pm

and at about 10:31 the 3 pies and the coke will all be gone
 
Lots of good NFL linemen have had trouble keeping weight down in the offeason, our own Timbo being one. I wouldn't worry as long as he works hard to get in shape in the spring & TC.
 
...as long as he goes to work when he's on the clock. He should be a beast, if he can make it a whole game.

Seriously tho he lost most of the extra weight and is gunna be Mr. Plow fo' shizzle.

why is it looking bleak right now? because the kid showed up overweight in may? how many people get to be 330+ because they stay in shape and eat right? manny is gonna be a force in the middle, but just like 95% of all 330lb NFL DTs you're gonna have to battle them about what they eat and how hard they work. you have to ride them hard and saban and co. will do just that.

It's looking bleak because he has not shown the commitment necessary to be a great NFL calibur player.
 
Hes already lost sum like 20 lbs, thats commitment enough, hes working hard and im hoping hell play good come season time


but like the guy said, he showed up overweight in like may, hes got time to get into game time shape
 
Listen to Kevin Carter after Friday's mini-camp and he clearly doesn't think Manny is ready indicating he lacks mental maturity and consistency. Despite Manny's talent this guy does not appear to be close to being a solid contributor. His teammates sure don't seem to think so.

The worst part of Manny coming in out of shape is his response was "I went to my mom's house. You know how that is." Sounds like he doesn't regret it one bit or the last time he will be coming to camp out of shape. If being humilitated by the national media last year didn't motivate him to stay in shape this year what will?

The problem is lack of maturity and drive, but Saban and Capers are master motivators, lets hope they find within this kid what it takes.
