OK so he's basically playing his first real game ever. And the bills no matter how much I hate them have an NFL defense, maybe a bad one right now, but still... Henne for the first time in his life will be playing with a whole different caliber of players, the D-coordinator of the bills is I'm sure VERY happy getting to play a guy making his first start, and I'm sure they will make it their #1 goal to confuse him and rattle him.

So all that said what do you guys think ? My prediction is around

Chad Henne:
17-32 225yds, 1 TD, 2 Int

I also think he will improve each game this season as he starts taking some shots, getting the nervousness out, and learning how to avoid throwing picks. (reading the D better).. By the end of the year hopefully we're seeing 300 yd 0 int games out of him because he has the arm and the brain for it.

12-23 209yds 1 TD 1 INT 1 Fmbl
I also predict a big game from our running game.
I really don't see Henne throwing too much with an effective
running game in place. I see more success in the wildcat and
Ricky running extra hard.

true but I thought the coaches might let him throw it a little with the bills possibly having one of the worst secondaries we will play all year.. didn't they lose like 2 starters last week?

I can see:

17-30 for 225 yards 1 TD and 0 INTs

I think he takes care of the ball and takes a few shots down field, but will dump it off when he has to. I think in order for Henne to put up these kind of numbers, we need our running game to amass at least 150 yards rushing and 2 TDs.

Also, the Bills secpndary is beat up bad, so do not be suprised if Henne throws for more than 300 yards, especially of Owens and Evans start to tear up our secondary.

Yes, but I really don't think they want him out there slinging it around when the run game is working. Maybe Im wrong, but Id like to see plenty of running, the less he throws the less mistakes, just get him out there and get him use to the speed of the game and slowly build his confidence.

19-30 214 yards 1 Td...0 Ints :)
We rush for 2 td's and manage to win a close game. This is the only game I've felt like we should win going in. I like our chances.

It's the biggest day of his football career so far and a great opportunity for him to take this team by the fins and claim it, build some confidence and swagger. I wish him the best of luck and skills.

I cannot predict stats, but I will tell you my expectations for improvement.

* During the Chargers game, he did not keep his feet under him for about 20% of the throws. I would like him to reduce that to 15%.
* Be careful with the ball around the 30 yard line especially in the flat areas.
* Slow down the easy throws. He threw a couple of balls hard on short easy completions.
* Keep pushing the ball down the field. Have a short memory of the Drops by Ginn.
