Ok here we go, let's get some opinions on what each division in the AFC is gonna look like at the end of this season....state who will finish first in their division and state how the playoffs will go, including the SB winner....I'll go first....
AFC East
Miami (11-5)
Buffalo (9-7)
New England Patriots (9-7)
NY Jets (8-8)
Here's Why....Miami has accumulated more talent to deter a december slide. Buffalo is on its way up, but they are still a year away from being a potential powerhouse....Patriots will stay the same...the acquisition of vets will help, but the aging team will cancel out any possible gain recordwise....New york lost many crucial players to FA, Washington Specifically...chad pennington hasnt proven to me that he is for real, and i may think that this past year was a fluke....
AFC North
Pittsburgh (11-5)
Cleveland (10-6)
Baltimore (8-8)
Cincinnati (5-11)
Pittsburgh will benefit from a weak division once again, although the whole division has improved....Cleveland can do some real damage if their QB situation is resolved (I prefer holcomb) Baltimore just doesnt impress me and although their defense has improved from last season, they just arent up to the level they were at during their superbowl year...Cincinnati will improve to a 5 win season, primarily because of Marvin Lewis being the coach
AFC South
Tennessee (10-6)
Indianapolis (9-7)
Jacksonville (7-9)
Houston (5-11)
Tennessee continues to impress, and although they dont have quite as competitive of a division as the AFC East or West, they manage to shock people in the playoffs...McNair in particular...Indianapolis cant seem to buy a playoff win, and have not done many changes this offseason, and as other teams get better, this team will get worse, and will be lucky if they get into the playoffs, where Peyton cant win a game. Jacksonville hasnt done much as well....And houston is only in year 2 of existence, and they wont be a contender until at least 2 years....
AFC West
Oakland (12-4)
Kansas City (10-6)
San Diego (9-7)
Denver (8-8)
Oakland's veterans continue to battle it out with might in this division, Kansas City can be impressive as well, assuming priest holmes can stay healthy....San Diego's loss of Junior Seau will prove to be their undoing, they also lost Rodney harrision to NE, how are they better than one year ago, when they went 9-7 (i believe)? With this division, the worst team can compete with other teams in the weaker divisions within the conference, however denver has to play with these guys....Jake the snake could help them succeed if say the broncos were in the AFC North...but they arent, and they are stuck there, where they will fail, and continue on a decline....
AFC Playoffs
Byes 1st Round
Oakland, Miami
AFC Wildcard 1st Round
Cleveland
Tennesee
Kansas City
Buffalo
This all depends on who plays who, but i would guess that Oakland and Miami would play to go to the superbowl...Miami can beat them, they have the last few years, and they should again :)
Superbowl....Miami vs. Tampa Bay
U know who i favor in that game!!!
