Anyone else think that this year's pregame shows are terrible? Costas and Collinsworth are absolute destroyers of the NBC show. No more Primetime on ESPN. Fox with Joe Buck?

As if the pre-game wasn't enough, the ESPN play by play with Theismann and Cornheiser was dreadful in the pre-season, and now it will be the home of MNF. I actually like Madden and Michaels (I just think they work as a combo), but on the NBC broadcast, they have gotten totaly carried away with the in-game graphics. The replays all have a full screen graphic effect with sound front and back of the replay! The sound is OK on a TV, but on a surround sound system, it is amazingly overpowering, and they use it for all the replays, stats, and game track. By the end of the game, replays were almost painful to watch. I love football, and maybe I shouldn't gripe about this stuff, but as a broadcaster myself, this type of thing just drives me crazy.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :fire: :fire: :fire:

I will take Costas and Collinsworth over Berman and TJ every day of the week.

The NBC show was great, just get rid of Bettis as he didn't say 2 words and looked like a deer in the headlights.

On Joe Buck......read my latest column to get my thoughts on the FOX show.

Must say I have switched from Fox to CBS because of James Brown. Can't stand Badjaw or JJ, Joe Buck brings very little to them IMHO. He's a fine Baseball announcer, but not particularly good with football.

I like Costas and Collinsworth, but on Sunday at Noon I will go with CBS now, rather than Fox, as far as which pregame show I will watch.

I would take Costas/Collinsworth ove Berman anyday. I do like TJ, but the Monday night crew.......well thats another story. I think Joe Buck does a good job, (I didn't read your column), I would actually take Buck over Al Michaels (sp).

Over that past few days, I've read on here, Dolphins suck, Murlarkey sucks, ESPN sucks, pregame sucks, officials sucks, Saban is God and would never mess up, the media hates the Dolphins. Man, is there anything in this world that doesn't suck?

Since I have several tv's on, I have all three pregame shows on:D

LOL. I don't think the Dolphins suck...I just think they haven't lived up to the hype yet.

Like I said, I am a broadcaster, so these kinds of things really grate on me. I needed to vent (something I didn't do about the Dolphins).

LOL

You being a broadcaster, you know more about the inside stuff than most people do about broadcasting. Me on the other hand use to be an official, (not in the NFL), but in three professional soccer leagues. I understand about officiating. I've always laughed at people that blame the officials for their teams lack of performance. Don't get me wrong, officials are human and we do blow calls, but I can you that coaches and players make a ton more mistakes than the officials do.

Ok well i will vent as well, my less than 1 month old DLP Toshiba's lamp went on Sunday morning, (Don't even get me started!):fire:

so i was stuck watching the games on my 32 inch tv, which was fine but durning the NBC night game, the sound was way off, the music seemed to drown out the voices especially during highlights, im not sure if it will be different when im watching it next week on my Toshiba (piece of SH&%) and surround sound.

That NBC music sucks I felt like I was watching the olympics.

As for the shows, 70% of the stuff these guys says is dumb, I mean lets look at how Herbstreit pick UM for a championship, and i think it was Darren Woodson and Mark Schlereth picked Green Bay to upset Chicago, are ya kidding me???

I will continue to stick with ESPN Pregame show.

I like the new MNF crew, big fan of Tony, not so much of Joey T.

To much laughing and joking around on NBC's show, it looked like there trying to recreate the inside the NFL open forum section for the entire show.

I'am not a fan of Deion (I can't tackle to save my life) Sanders, so what do I do about that show on the NFL Network? I don't watch. To me it's a easy thing, don't watch it if it upsets you or whatnot. I don't like Deion, so I don't watch him.

I've never been a fan of Fox's pregame show, so I usually stay away from it. If I even have the TV on before the games start, I guess I would have it on CBS, but I usually don't pay much attention. I think, so far, that I have enjoyed NBC's overall coverage the best. However, what matters the most is what's on the field, and if I don't like the commentators, I just turn the sound off.

All you have to do to avoid all the chatter by the talking heads is to go visit a sportsbar like I do. They usually turn the sound off for all the tv's except the main game on the big screen. I love to watch every NFL game on Sunday, and it is nice not to have to listen to Buck, Aikman, JB, Howie, Terry, JJ and the other clowns.

i cant stand Theisman and that Cornholer guy! 2 of the most arrogant morons in the history of the world. well football world anyway.. Im trying to expand my horizons..LMAO

Kornheiser doesn't seem to fit in on the Monday Night crew.

I really liked the NBC show. Bettis needs to stop pluggin the damn steelers and they could stop the "the bus" phrase count at 6 million. but other than that it was really cool . like going ot interview players in different city's.

Fox...Aikman is alright but Joe Buck needs surgery that seals his top lip to his bottom one. the guy is a menace who is way too biased and it makes me wanna throw things at the tv (or hit hte mute button, whichever is more convienent.) tHe guy sucks at baseball too.:tantrum:
