That's where I disagree. You say we have a QB debate and such. And that our defense needs time together, as does the OL.
Well in Preseason, the starters don't get much playing time at all, and the one who do play are fighting just to make the team. The real progress we'll see will come from practice(s). The coaching staff only furthers their decision on who stays and goes based on their "action time" in the Preseason.
When Frerotte is given 1 quarter of football to try and prove he should start, dont you wonder what else has to be done to secure the starting QB slot?
Time needs to pass for things to gel. It's always a learning process, and it'll take time. It'll gel, just not quite yet. Preseason means something to the guys trying to make the team, but not to fellas like ZT, Madison, and JT etc.
I wasn't able to watch the game tonite, but I did catch the Bears game. In the 2nd quarter and on, they showed JT on the sidelines yuppin' it up. His loose attitude just goes to show, that these "Preseason" games are pretty much televised scrimmages.
We all love football, the media, the fans, the players/coaches, so much so that we all make a big deal out of the Preseason. I mean hey, it's football right? Yes, but it's pointless until it counts in the standings. Let's just get there first
