A legit generality will always dominate point by point scrutiny, particularly if that scrutiny comes from homer fans. Here in Las Vegas my friends who study it closely for betting purposes always have Miami in the bottom 5 of the league in overall talent. That more than overwhelms what we looked like against Kansas City in preseason.
You can't draft horribly for 7 or 8 years, along with major personnel mistakes outside of draft day, and have reasonable talent level.
