Preseason record relative to regular season

Looking for a dolphins statistics master to answer this question:

Is there any correlation between our preseason record and our regular season record?

From what I remember, it always seems like whenever we have a great preseason we end up having a less than promising regular season and some of our better years I remember suffering through horrible preasons.

So does anyone have the statistics to prove or disprove this?

I think it was the '79 Giants that were 6-0 in the preseason, and started the season 0-11.

Preseason correlation to regular season record? None.

The way the team plays, more than theor record is what I look at in the preseason. Especially the play of the 1st and 2nd stringers. Preseason records can easily be swayed by players who won't even end up on the roster.
