As we have seen like last season, pass rushers can win Super Bowls for you.
I was looking at sacks this season. Way on top is Cleveland with 62. One reason I'm looking is that for the last 5 years we have been in the top 3.
2nd is the Bills with 43. So I keep looking and at number 21 with only 30 sacks is the Miami Dolphins. The Cowboys and the Patriots are right below us with 24 each.
So by running the football, we saved our QBs from getting sacked 15-20 more times. Think about it. From pressure on a QB comes interceptions, fumbles etc. Running the football was saved them and also helped Tannehill makes so many big plays.
We have in the past been running a dink and dink offense and this season, we are tied for 3rd in the NFL with a 7.9 yard per play average.
This game will come down to what it always does. Can we get enough pressure on Tom Brady. But this season we have something new in our toolbox. It is called a running game.
