Thought Id share this with yall since it's kinda slow and boring as of late.
I work at P.F Changs as a waiter here in Jacksonville. Everyone that I work with know that I am a huge Miami Dolphins fan and John Beck fan, and I am also really good friends with one of my managers and really looks out for me and my other 2 bros. So last night I was waiting tables and my manager come to me and tells me that he is putting R.Mathis in my section. Of course I get pretty excited, u know, get to wait on one of the jags best players. Anyways, I clean off my booth, go in the back and I get my trio of sauces ready. (side note...Me and my manager joke around and he calls me John Beck and we say stupid **** to each other like John Beck woulda had that table cleaned off real fast..lol) anyways, Im getting ready to walk into the dining room when my manager approaches me and tells me that he told him that his server is a huge Miami fan and John Beck fan. So I stroll on up and I introduce myself as John Beck and right away, Mathis breaks out in a huge smile and starts laughing and hes like "what's up playa?" I just said, "nothing, just waiting on some tables and working out before the season starts...and btw you aint picking off any of my passes man". Anyways I just bull****ted with him for a little bit and and got on with business and didn't bother him too much. He was pretty chill and a nice character, humble guy. I have much more respect torwards him and I wish him the best of luck. Just thought id share an interesting story that took place, i never meet anyone famous or cool, so it was a neat experience.. and btw he aint cheap either, he tips pretty good... heres to the fins and John beck lol:beer1:
