Work with this guy named Mike Marker who worked here as a co-op off and on the past few years. He just came back a few days ago. Anyway he plays football and was on the packers practice squad once and was on the phins last year during minicamp for about a week or so. He brought in his dolphins practice jersey, receiver gloves and pics of his locker. plays wideout and runs a 4.27 40. Not real tall but fast as hell. Very, very nice guy. Said Zach locker was a couple down from his and Browns down alittle further. Was catching passes from Brock and so on. Went to NFL Europe and got hurt. Said gets to be real frustrating trying to make a team on a tryout basis from small college.
Anyway thought that was pretty cool. Hell, I'd give about anything to go practice with my phins for alittle while.

Asked him if he could switch to cornerback with that speed with all the injuries, said maybe safety but not corner. Has great in-line speed but he not quick. Said watching Welker was frustrating because although he was very quick with his breaks, he has very short strides and couldn't beat anyone down the field. Said coaches all tell him being in the right place at the right time was a big part of getting a job. His agent sent him to Miami right off of a NFL Europe injury rehab program and didn't fair well running on the hard ground or something I guess, said by the second day the trainers had to pop blisters on all of his toes and hard them all taped up. It hurt like hell to run anywhere. Too bad, hope he get another opportunity. Still a cool experience I think anyway to go practice with my favorite team.
