Move to #1 pick-Oakland
gets Fins 9th pick plus 2 second rounders (one in 2007, one in 08), AND 2 third rounders (one in 07, one in 08), AND one 4th rounder AND one 7th rounder. DOLPHINS WOULD HAVE TO GIVE UP SIX TOTAL PICKS. Forget Joe Montana, this had better be the second coming of Jesus Christ if the Dolphins do this. I hope Miami does not even consider this as a possibility. (non christians, my deepest apology)

Move to #2 pick-Detroit gets Fins 9th pick plus one second rounder AND two 3rd rounders( one in 2007, one in 08), AND two 4th rounders( one in 2007, one in 08). DOLPHINS WOULD HAVE TO GIVE UP FIVE TOTAL PICKS. Still not a viable option to me, 5 picks is too many.

Move to #3 pick-Cleveland gets Fins 9th pick plus one second rounder AND one third rounder, AND one 4th rounder. DOLPHINS WOULD HAVE TO GIVE UP THREE TOTAL PICKS. Much better, I could live with it only if they make one or two of these picks next year. I don’t like giving away picks at all, but now it seems like a possibility.

Why would we want to do any of these trades? We are a pretty bad team in rebuilding mode...one player isn't gonna make a whole lot of a difference. Keep the picks and get some youth in here. I would possibly trade up to six for Quinn simply to get a franchise Qb, but that would only cost us one pick overall.

You'd have to assume that within the first three picks you can get a FRANCHISE player. Russell wont be there, so maybe getting Joe Thomas or Calvin Johnson to fill two huge and long standing weak spots for the Dolphins is exactly what this team needs to get it over the hump of mediocrity.

if calvin johnson was there its done in a heartbeat. how could you not go after that kid?
