On their PPV last night Silva gets in the ring and challenges Chuck Lidell to a fight on 2/24 on a PRIDE PPV.

Hey guys........Silva already issued this challenge, ON A UFC SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it was accepted!!! But since you don't want to fight him in UFC and you know Chuck is signed to UFC and can't fight anywhere except UFC, it's an empty challenge knowing that it can never happen in a PRIDE ring anytime soon, let alone on 2/24.

Another problem with the show, was all the dead time..,They were actually replaying matches that had already occurred. Also having two champions fighting, but neither for their belts is a little ridiculous. There are alot of things that I dont like about Pride, but their HW division is enough to keep me watching forever...

chuck could fight in pride if dana would let him. he's done it before. noway dana lets his champ go to pride to get his *** kicked.

that is when UFC was almost bankrupt. Now there is no reason for UFC to let Chuck fight in their ring.

PRIDE is the one with no TV deal and that is almost bankrupt about to go out of business while UFC is bringing in millions. PRIDE needs Chuck and UFC,..........UFC needs none of this!!!

what the ufc does need is to not have another one of their champs getting owned by a pride fighter.
 
I dont see Silva beating Chuck. One of them is at the top of their game, and the other has been in a steady decline...Chuck would absolutely own him in the stand up, and I doubt Wanderlei can take him down.

thatz a pretty big assumption bullseye. chuck has never faced a striker as good as silva. the last good striker that he fought was rampage and we know what happened there.
 
Well of course it is an assumption, no one really knows until the fight happens (if it happens). All of that is my opinion, just like your opinion is that Silva would beat Liddell...

The Rampage fight was at a much different time in Chucks career, I think if they fought again now, the outcome would be much different...Remember what happened in Silvas last fight (against a great striker) he got pummeled...

yes he did. but there's a big gap between crocop and chuck IMO. crocop is a monster. and that fight was at heavyweight.

chuck would probably beat rampage now. not because chuck is that much better but because rampage is not the same fighter anymore.
 
I definitely think Chuck could handle Silva. He doesn't impress me at all.
