I am a long time finhaven lurker ,I have posted sporadically. Sometimes it's frustrating to post or read someone's post and see them get blown up for opinions. I Have to get this off my chest though. I REALLY wanted to see our core defensive players step up and call a players only meeting . I would love to see Tannehill do this for the offense also. It is only 2 games into the season but this feels like do or die. Am I right? They really need these next 2 games. I want to see some fight from this team. Some hard hitting. The Redskins were hitting hard. I noticed it early. I live in Tennessee and have Sunday Ticket every year. I don't want to be watching meaningless games early October. I know all the weaknesses on this team and we are flawed but if we can make it to the bye week 3-1 I wou have taken that before the season started. I would rather have lost to a NFC team though. Here is hoping our incompetent coaching staff takes some direction from our team leaders. Someone show some Pride and turn this thing around.

Patience is the key. Cant turn and tuck tail at the first sign of trouble.

These next 2 games will go a long way in determining how our season goes. We need to at least split, but hoping for a sweep

I am very patient and have been. I just know these next 2 weeks are crucial. If we lose them both we are playing for draft position.

I think you nailed it. Tannehill's time is now to step up and carry this team, w/o a run game and defense. How many times did Brady and Manning put teams on their shoulders until they figured things out? Frankly, if he cannot do this, we should not be satisfied with the qb situation. To win in this league, you need an elite qb. Yes you can go with a dominant defense and qb manager, like Seattle, but that doesn't win you 4 rings and 6 SB trips

Remember when we started 0-2 in 2008...that season ended well. I know they unleashed the Wildcat in the 3rd game, but I'm just hoping this offense and defense gets it together and plays well throughout the next 14 games.

as long as you guys split these next 2 weeks you are in good shape.

The WAY we have played is far more of a concern than the record of being 1-1.

Couple that with the PROVEN track record of Philbin and that's WHY so many are negative after only 2 weeks.

i think you totally mistook the words lucky12 wrote.... as you went off here on a Tannehill tangent basically.

Pride, Heart and Balls lacking for over 10 years...

Same old Dolphins, when you lose to the Jags you can just smell the 8-8.

i agree here, in another thread I was commenting on not really seeing a vocal leader at all out there on the defensive side of the ball. doesnt seem we have a guy that will bring the unit together, get them geared up and aggressive. It is a missing aspect that I would like to see in the future, and a players meeting could help as well for this. It doesnt even need to be core defensive players for us really... just everyone coming together!!!

and yes, we are not hitting and firing out aggressively... both sides of the ball need to get that going as well.

-now stop lurking-

The only real issue is scheme and then it becomes effort. If players aren't getting to where they want to be on the field they will start to shut down. I think we've even seen it from Suh. I just want to see them come out with the edge emotionally for once.

I bet Bryan Cox would not have taken that beating on Sunday quietly.
What makes it worse is it was to a team from the same state.
With a second year QB.
Missing their top Draft pick from a few years ago.
A rookie running back.
I need to stop. This is not helping my alcholism.

I am pretty sure if you look at Cox's teams you will find some bad losses. Off the top of my head we were 7-8 going to Joe Robbie in week 16 in a win and in game and marino had led you to a TD in the final minute to go up 3 and Cox's D allowed Ken O'Brien to lead the Jets into FG range to tie then win it in OT. EVERY team has bad losses.
