Dolphins might need to jump with both feet into the Prince Amukamara sweepstakes stat.

if Maxwell falls through (we can only hope) we will still need to purge Grimes (well at least 1 of them) which leads me to the following - we should go super aggressive and get Prince Amukamara (Giants got an expensive corner today so he will go free) he is an upgrade over Maxwell or Grimes and pairing him with Pacman (and maybe even Nolan Carroll) would be really solid.

Thoughts?

Injured quite a bit. I would not hate the move. I would have to see the contract....like with all of these deals.

I saw that they like him alot but are concerned with asking price.

Hard pass. Casey Heyward, Sean Smith,Patrick Robinson, Pacman, Hall would all be better.

Sean Smith is an awful fit. I would have concerns about Heyward. You would really make Pacman or Robinson your main cornerback? wow

Pacman and Hayward.

What other choice do we have?

I'd pass on Amukamara. Talented but injury prone and going to be overpaid. I'd probably go for the short-term option in Pacman Jones if he can be had for south of $7M a year. Then I'd look at Mo Claiborne, Patrick Robinson or Sterling Moore to fill the other spot.

I mean the Bengals managed pretty well with that system...and better than your backup being the main contributor when Amukamara is out with an injury half the season.

In his 5 year career he has only played 16 games once and has missed a total of 25 games. He is very injury prone and I would dislike it very much if the Fins signed him.

Thoughts? If the price isn't nuts, it's a great idea. Have a lockdown CB, a cheap stopgap, two 2nd year players to develop in Lippett and McCain, and probably a draft pick.

What concerns do you have about Hayward? Sean Smith is a lot better fit than a guy who can't stay on the field at all. If he's such a stud #1 corner why are the Giants happy to ditch him and throw a boatload at Janoris?

Sounds perfect for Miami...

So are we back to keeping grimes at this point? :idk:

that's the one concern and probably why the giants moved on...
