we joke about the terminology on this board.. but to hear Hickey call Philbin 'principled' says all we need to know about the guy.. forget any player with luggage, attitude, or an opinion being around for his possible 'last rodeo'..

i say we 'buy' Pete Carroll from Seattle and get some players with balls down here!

Philbin's principles aren't a problem with me. BUT, in order to win, you have to cultivate leaders in your locker room. Professional football players hold each other accountable. If you don't have some strong-willed players, you probably don't have any leaders either.

If Philbin wants a blueprint, he should talk to Tom Coughlin. Coughlin learned to win by holding his players accountable while empowering them to self police the locker room.

Does he want to assemble a ****ing football team or a church choir?

Fire this clown. We will not win with a team of choir boys and no leaders

Church choir. Maybe because of his principles, but maybe just because it is easier to manage a church choir. Probably won't matter much this year.

It should matter...he wont have a job in the nfl after next season and he will need something to fall back on...

What will happen if we make the playoff's this year?

I could see Miami in contention for a playoff spot heading into December, but it won't matter. The ONLY consistent thing about Philbin as Miami's Head Coach is that his team chokes when a playoff berth is theirs for the taking.

Forgive me if I don't want a guy who literally gave away the Superbowl in what was the most idiotic play call of all time . I don't care about his other accomplishment . Clearly the guy is a retard . NOBODY else does something that stupid .
