Prisco Diarreah after visiting Dolphin Camp

I can't believe this man has a job. Writers must get paid to trash other teams, Sportsline should make the the AFC East columnist.

For Prisco, that really wasn't so bad IMO....

He said some good things there. Especially about our coaching staff...

PHINZ RULE!!!

This is a good thing. Whatever Prickso prognosticates, the opposite happens.

Everybody hates Pete Prisco on this site, or so it seems, but people keep reading his articles? I don't get it.

You guys have to expect negative press, if for nothing it makes up for all the years of great press when you didn't deserve it. I think from '97-'03 you guys were supposed to be in the SB according to experts. You take the good w/ the bad and in the end it's all meaningless.

I hate to say this... but what Prisco said was a dose of reality..

I don’t think he exaggerated.. and I don’t think that article had "I hate the Dolphins" written in it.. It was a case of stating his honest opinion..

As much as you guys don’t want to believe it.. The Phins are in a rebuilding year and being competitive in 2 years sounds about right if we stay the course..

Take off your rose colored glasses for a second and look at the weaknesses on the team..

Secondary.. An aging Madison, a couple of rooks and pick up players

Linebackers.. Jr is old!! Thomas is getting old, can still play but cant be everywhere on the field all the time.. and the other LB's show a lot of promise, but hasnt done anything yet..

D-line.. The strength of the team right now

WR.. Boston, Chambers, Booker.. awesome line-up.. second strongest link

RB.. Looks like Ricky will own the league again... assuming he stays with the team.. meaning isnt traded like rumors has indicated.. Brown is a great prospect, but... he is a rook and still hasnt practiced day 1.. The rest of the RB is nothing more than a continuation of last year..

QB.. Fiedler.. Feeley.. Frerotte.. Griese.. or Sage.. it doesnt matter which QB is playing.. They're all bums, 2005 is just more of 2004 and 2003 and 2002 and 2001.. We need a QB that shows great promise and gives us something to look forward to..

O-line.. Houck will make this line better.. but will it be better to the point of dominating in a game?? I don’t think so.. This line will be better than last year, so thats a step in the right direction..

I'm not trying to trash the team.. I love the Dolphins.. always had and always will.. However, with that said, its only my attempt to inject some reality into our dreams.. expectations and hopes of winning a SB this year..

I'll go you one better. I took his "5 Things to Know" article as a positive. Here is an interesting quote:

"Overall, the talent level isn't much. First-year coach Nick Saban has his hands full turning this team around. If Miami wins six games, the new coach will have done a magnificent job. But that won't stop him from trying. Saban will not consider calling this a rebuilding year. It's just not in his nature. Saban might have some absurd media policies that limit access, but the guy can flat-out coach. It will be a shocker if he doesn't have his team competing in games this year, making a playoff push next season and in the thick of it in 2007."

I would say that is about as positive as one can get about the Phins (and I am no fan of Prisco). Here is the link: http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8684667

I did not see anything that bad. Pretty much everything he said is 100% on the spot.

I think most of you knock it soley because of who the writer is.

I think the 1st line pissed me off more than anything. "The Dolphins don't look to bad for an expansion team." We may have just come off a 4-12 season but we had 10 straight winning seasons or something before that. I don't have to tell anyone hear about last years problems, but we are far from the Cards, or Texans of the league that have never felt the joy of winning more games then they lose.

It's called a joke. It may be mean and hurtful and unfunny but it is a joke nonetheless. Don't take it so personal and remember, Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.
