Pro Football Focus ranks QB's under pressure. See where Moore ended up.

^^ I was going to say, overall Moore graded out 9th. Not bad with all things considered.

NOT BAD??? Tough crowd, he's in some elite company, the kid deserves a chance with us.

I wish they'd put in fumbles... I'd be interested to see where he ranked in that stat. Has to be last, or damn close.

I curious what is considered "pressure" as in blitzes, pocket collapsing? How are those ratings determined?

Not that Im challenging the validity just would like to understand the context of the grading system.

Looking at the overall grades at the end of the article Moore finishes 9th in the league. That is a more telling stat than simply looking at sacks taken. A poor offensive line and coaching a QB to "not turn it over" can lead to sacks that are not entirely the QB's fault.

Didnt need a chart I saw it happen all season. When the pressure is on the the entire offense checks out including recievers who dont adjust their routes.

At least he took the sack. The rest of the stats tell the tail.

Matt Moore did pretty damn good for us.

I must agree, that stat suprised me. I still consider Moore a temporary solution until we bring in another QB, but Moore did alright last season.

I think you can blame Marc Colombo for a couple of those sacks. I'm not sure how much that would help his percentage, but some of the pressure that Colombo allowed was so quick I don't think any QB could've avoided it.

It's not the sacks.. Colombo got Henne hurt, and more than 70% of the pressure came from his side, not even allowing Moore to have 2 seconds to throw he ball

Exactly. You can't bring up his being last in sacks but then ignore the other stats that balance him out to finishing 9th (for whatever it's worth).

ahahahahah Where is junc to defend his beloved QB?

well this subject came up in jetinsiderdotcom and of course there was the familiar deflections of fault followed by this guy jxc's wry response: (there are some over there that are starting to get it).

It's preposterous! Preposterous I say! These statistics along with QBR and passer rating do not apply to Sanchez. He's too good to be measured statistically.
