A paltry 134 total rushing yards after 2 games. And our leading rusher...Tannehill.

Not good but the 3.9 opponents yards per carry isn't horrible either. If we are going to say when Miami runs for under 4.0 yards per carry that's not good, then we have to say the same thing if the opponents are putting up the same number. To me it's not about the yards or the yards per carry, it's about making the stop when the team needs you to make the stop. Having the Patriots on a 2nd and 12 late and giving up a 10 or 11 yard run can't happen.

That's the problem. When the other team needs 1, 2 or 3 yards on 3rd down our defense gives them up. Stats only tell part of the story

PFF has Ryan Tannehill as the highest rated player on offense. Two weeks in a row now.
 
The Dolphins Defense allowed TD drives of 75, 75 & 76 yards on the Patriots 1st 3 possessions of the game.

So much for sirspud and whoever else saying the patriots d "softened up" with a lead in the 2nd half...
 
More interesting than Tannehill's grade is Suh's, IMO. It fits with what I saw on the field. Numerous plays where Suh wash ustling downfield to make the tackle because nobody else wanted to touch Blount.
