There will likely be trades. Vick continuing to take punts is a sign to me that he will make the squad. He will serve as a punt returner and kickoff return guy, and is capable enough as a receiver. Gibson never really got on track tonite, nor did any other receiver outside the starters for that matter. Carolina's backups are clearly better than Miami's backups on defense. I expect Murphy to be cut. Gibson is iffy as is Russell. I am not sure at this point whether one of them will be traded or not.
I am more inclined to say that Vickerson and Zgnonia will go somewhere. Vickerson played very late in the game and I didn't see Jeff play that much at all, but maybe he did and I just missed it.
Evans looks like he belongs and that would be a huge shock if he didnt make the roster.
Newman played pretty well, and Hodges has shown me little. I would not be shocked if another linebacker comes to Miami via cuts or trades,as has been posted in other threads (e.g., Miller from Cincy).
While Daniels isn't going anywhere, I am not sure Lehan will make the team. Here again, I expect waiver or trade action to occur.
Rader probably will not make the roster. Do you keep 2 tight ends and 2 fullbacks? Beasley could serve as a H-back type and he is better than Rader. I haven't really been impressed with Peele either.
I have seen so little from Anderson, that it honestly wouldn't shock me if he got cut and Miami sought a replacement. I dont see practice but I would sincerely consider moving Berger in there from what I have seen. I also thought James struggled tonite, but Jenkins is the man, no shame in that. He might be the most dominate d lineman in the league.
And lastly, I would look for a backup rb tonite. Miami in my mind needs to put this at the top of the list. I expect action there.
Any thoughts?
