We have lots of wasted spaces on Defense. Wake, Vernon, Sheppard, Brice McCain, Thomas and Taylor should be replaced ASAP.

One problem with your suggestion on blitz packages.......we dont blitz.

Our coordinator has such confidence in our d-line that he hasn't hardly blitzed, stunted, or created miss matches. It's like Dan Henning took over as D.C. We arent fooling anyone with our schemes.

Stop moving pieces that work!! Suh is playing well. He is not the problem. I would start Shelby, Philips, Suh, and Fede on the drone based upon merit. I cannot believe Shelby my favorite whipping boy merits a start over anybody, but he does.

Here's another one very Patriot-like. If McCain is getting beat like a drum by one guy even tho he's giving a 10-15 yard cushions on 3rd and 5. How about we actually say..you know what #18 is not beat us today on clear passing downs. We're going to bracket him literally( Guy to press and a guy on top). That Qb is going to have to read the field and find someone else...

I don't agree on Wake and Vernon. I can't believe both of these guys actually fell of a performance cliff in one year. I don't believe either guy is close to 100% healthy. I also disagree on the way you shuffle the linebackers. Jenkins appears to be our fastest and most instinctual linebacker, so I would move him to the middle as you suggest, but putting Vigil at SLB and Misi at WLB miscast so their strengths/weaknesses. Vigil is better in coverage whereas coverage is Misi's weakness. Misi is better in pass rush and setting the edge on the strong side.

This is not really that far fetched. The last time this Dline was truly dominant is when Odrick and Wake played DE and Starks and Soliae played DT. That was a big line.
I still give Wake a chance. Not ready to write him off just yet. OV has always been a little light to se the edge. Sure wish we kept Odrick over Mitchell.
