It's just hard for me to get too excited about squeaking one out over essentially an old, one-armed guy with nothing to play for but pride. We came out slow ... again. And, with our track record, it's hard for me to feel too good about our chances to hang on to a playoff spot.

But, on the positive side, we'd be in the playoffs if they started today. We finally found a way to put a game away, albeit against the equivalent of one of the walking dead. And every week I feel better and better about our quarterback.

I just wish I could enjoy this more. I keep feeling the Dolphins are setting me up to let me down again.

Division game on the rod, I'll take it.

The jets are never easy, this is the first time EVER the dolphins beat the jets on MNF in New York.

All it does is give Miami the #6 seed all to themselves right now. Sure it isn't pretty. Sure tonight's performance is tough to defend. Sure playing like this next week vs. Baltimore or in NE the week after almost guarantees a loss.

But that's next week. For now they're in.

There's way too many people on here who think that because of the Jets record that they won't be a tough play. Regardless of record one of us gives the other the run of their life in one of the two games and comes away with the huge upset. Twice in the last three completed seasons one of us has kept the other out of a playoff spot in week 17 despite being huge underdogs. I feel better having won this game this way than seeing us win 30-13. Why? Because it feels like we got "that game" from them where they gave us the run of our lives and we bore down and found a way to turn the game in our favor. This is a game that we frequently don't win versus the Jets and one that this team in the last three years usually hasn't won.

Playoff teams win games they should and then win some they shouldn't have. We've lost some we should but it feels like right now we found a way to win one we shouldn't have. That to me is the make of a team that may be going somewhere, not just another win where everything goes our way and we aren't really challenged versus a weaker opponent.

The jets suck but they do have some pretty good strengths. Its not surprising they gave us trouble since they have a good run D and good running game in offense. What surprised me was the apparent lack of effort in the first 3 quarters. We need finnegan back asap.

That alone is worth felling good about. I think a lot of people saw 2 and 8 and thought this would be a cake walk. Those people don't know their Miami Dolphins history.

That was the ugliest win I've ever seen, but I'll take it. The defense was a mess, special teams was a mess, the offense was a mess, but the Jets are a bigger mess so we won.

as ugly as tonight was, and it was ugly, i will have to say, it was not only not the ugliest win i have seen, but we had an uglier win vs the jets in 2010 believe it or not at metlife.

remember the game, i think we won 10-6, henne threw for like 55 yds IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, and fields punted like 15 times. that game was uglier.

I hate the effing Jets. I'm just glad we pulled this game out of our rear ends.

Pats dont do well vs. jets in NY either. dont knock it.

this jet team is not ur typical ''bad'' jet team.

any team that was even slightly below avg would have beaten us tonight, but the jets r so beyond bad, they still couldn't take this game.

the pats will obliterate the jets.

Agreed with taking this win (what's the alternative???) but anyone who is even slightly happy with it needs to have their f'ing heads examined.

We regressed again and played down to our competition....NOT A GOOD SIGN!!!!!

Sorry guys, but this ain't gonna get it done. I've said in the past that this team is schizophrenic and it showed again tonight. No consistency and no way of telling what team (& coaching) or player is going to show up on any given gameday (God how I miss Moreno - you knew he'd bring every game!).
