Profootball weekly whispers/mock draft

For some reason I was thinking Mathews would be more likely in the second round. But, with the signing of Wake, I don't see Miami drafting OLB in the first round anyway.

I think we are more likely to get an ILB, DB or WR with OL a possibility depending on Carey and how the injured guys are progressing and the likelihood of their availability for camp. If Raji drops or if Brace continues to impress, they might have a tough time passing on a stud NG too.

But, OLB is NOT a major need at this point IMO.

i dont see miami pullin the trigger on a WR in the first round at this point.. i dont think ANY wr's should be drafted in the first round unless your a calvin johnson/larry fitz prospect

Ditto. If we get someone it should be Barden in the third or Nicks in the second. Hell if Heyward-Bey falls to the second pick we have in round two we should get him.

Nah, I'd pass on Barden. Reports are coming out about how disappointing he was at the Senior Bowl week. They say he struggles getting separation and that he may be another Mike Williams/Dwayne Jarrett/Ernest Wilford clone...

If we are going for a big WR in the 2nd round, it would be Brit or Hicks IMO.

tahst the key thing i saw im surprised ppl r still talking abotu some dudes mock instead of that.

id take him in a heart beat!

Hmm? That should confirm that BAL feels that their LBs and Pro Bowl C are the most important thing to get re-signed this offseason.

They have definitely noticed that CB will be deep in this draft and will be able to land a starter type with their 1st round pick. That's actually a very smart move to cut a CB in order to keep their Pro Bowl LBs and C.

But do we sign Goodman "and" McAllister?

Would be a deep reliable CB corps though I tell you that...

CB: Chris McAllister/Will Allen/Nate Jones
CB: Andre Goodman/Jason Allen

I'd feel good with that lineup right there...and you add Yeremiah Bell, Lou Delmas, Renaldo Hill, and say another second day pick rookie like Vaughn or keep Culver? :D

Our secondary would be fixed!!!

Looks good but not sure if they resign Hill and keep Allen.

I actually think this isn't a good draft for CB's. Last year was a very good CB draft, but this one is very thin at the top, and doesn't have nearly the mid-round depth of last year.
