Some view the courtship of Smith and Matt Flynn as an either/or proposition. It could be that the Dolphins ultimately sign both. With Flynn unproven and no one else banging on Smith’s door, he may decide that his best chance at playing again comes if he takes the No. 2 spot behind Flynn.
It would be a surprise if that happens. But as Smith said himself, nothing should surprise him — or anyone else — anymore.

Florio is a tool and then what trade Moore to the 49'ers.

Unless one of them is willing to take what Matt Moore did last year, it's not happening.

now that would be very smart, flynn moore or and smith, we will have 3 options to go to once either one of them messes up

i give up trying to predict the dolphins qb situation.... i think i would have a better chance of being 100% right about march madness then picking which qb is gonna be dolpihns starter next year!

This would incredibly stupid if they signed both.

florio strikes again with another stupid suggestion.

Sign Flynn - or - Sign Smith.

Do one, not both. Remember the old adage - "If you have two quarterbacks, you have none"?

I would prefer Flynn at this point and see what he can do. Hes the better choice because he knows the system. If he cant get the job done, then the franchise will be in the position to take Barkley next season.

What a hack... If manning goes to San Fran, and Flynn comes here, Smith will get picked up by the Browns or Seattle. Count on it.

So where is this magical cap money coming from? God I'm getting sick of all these hacks that don't have a clue.

The cap room isn't the problem. We haven't restructured, or cut people with salaries that are way too large (Bell and McDaniel). If we did that, we could easily make the room.
