Proposed trade rumor for Ramsey

That would be a terrible trade for Philadelphia, IMO. But if they want him that badly I'm taking that deal without a second thought
That would be an incredible trade for Philadelphia. Philadelphia would get to move up 19 spots in the first round and get Miami's second round pick next year. 🤣 Just that alone would be the single worst trade in NFL history from Miam's end. Forget about the two players involved in which Miami would gain absolutely nothing out of that.

It’s not terrible after looking Smith’s contract. They fluffed it with void years which they’d be stuck with so smiths hits are 7,10,14 and 20 so it’s actually a pretty affordable contract. You’d have to have a trade lined up for hill already. I’d probably want their 3rd and 2 out of the 4 5ths they have and I’d send them back our later 4th.

It’s still too much to give up for him, in terms of draft capital. Not even close to worth it. But I don’t hate the idea of adding him.

I guess because Smith is rightfully worth a lot more than Ramsey but yeah I don’t think people realize how big of a trade down from 13 to 32 is. If it were just picks would probably be 32 along with their next two years 1st round picks as well as probably a 2nd or 3rd thrown in year.
How is Smith worth a lot more than Ramsey to the Miami Dolphins?

To the dolphins, no but that doesn’t determine someone’s trade value. Objectively a 26 year old wideout in his prime is worth more than a 30 year old corner who’s best years are behind him.

This trade is so bad for us. I can’t believe some of us want this deal. Giving up a premium prospect at 13 as well as a 2nd is exactly what a Howie Roseman fleece job looks like. Eagles keep retooling and trading their expensive vets.

Ya it’s lopsided. I’d trade down to 32, but I’d need their 2026 first rounder as well, along with the player swap. I’m not giving them any more capital.

Yeah, but the whole premise doesn't make any sense. I don't even care about the player swap that makes no sense from Miami's standpoint, but moving from 13 to 32 costing a second-round draft pick on Miami's end is complete bonkers.

It makes sense if you want a fast turnaround as I’d imagine Grier and McDaniel want. Smith’s cap hits are very small at 7,10,14 and 20 next four years so while your getting premium talent it’s at a fraction of what hill and Ramsey cost.

I suppose hypothetically if you are moving on from both Ramsey and Hill, with this trade you maintain two star wideouts and grab additional picks. You’d have to absolutely nail the picks to be competitive come 2026 and smith and the additional picks would help. Like I said in my other post though I’d probably want their 1st,2nd, 3rd along with 2 of their 5ths for our 13 and later 4th back.

Not saying that’s what or how many should rebuild but I suppose that would be the appeal to this.

Sounds like Howie Roseman is trolling on Yahoo sports writing ridiculous things slanted towards the Eagles.

Disregard my posts I read it as Miami sends 13 and Ramsey for smith 32 and a 2nd not us adding a 2nd lmao yeah nvm this trade makes 0 sense at all lol the move from 32 to 13 is worth more than smith alone.

My gut (only a hunch) is Ramsey wants to play man against opponents top receiver. An ego thing. Not about money.

Which teams play a lot of man? Find those and narrow it down a bit. Who needs a corner? Who is in the window? (Not Carolina for example). Who can afford him?
You think the problem is Ramsay says “I want to go against the best player every game” and the dolphins said “okay sometimes, but sometimes we want Storm Duck lined up on Justin Jefferson too” and then they had a fall out?

… I think that’s a stretch.
