Props For Chambers from CBS Sports

I like to see Dolphins players getting credit, but I myself am still not sold on Chambers. If he can do this for the rest of the season then I might think he is a solid #1. I still think he is a bit inconsistent.

thats cool...but why is tory holt so far down? and hines ward is pretty down there, even though he has those 10 TD's

I really admire the heart of Chris Chambers. He was burried by his struggles and criticism and dug himself out and is continuing to prove his doubters wrong. Chambers has a lot of pride and love for the game and I hope he can keep his great play up... while shutting many people up along the way.

I wonder if he really has a shot at the pro bowl. If he plays out the season like he has, his stats will make a big push for his spot. He's been getting a lot of media attention and is starting to change the minds of some doubters too, including me. He still needs to work on those dropped balls, but overall he has really evolved this year.

And if you look at the running back category, Ronnie Brown is #18.

Not bad for a ROOKIE who SHARES CARRIES if you ask me.

I understand what you are saying.

But it's not like he catches everything but just doesn't have the opportunites.

He has created his own misfortune. He has his whole career, dropped passes and fumbled the ball.

So he isn't really shutting anybody up because all the critics are speaking the truth.

However, he finally might be turning into a more complete WR now and a legit WR. I hope he continues the play as well.

I don't think it was necessarily the drops, but him not producing like you would think in the past. He hardly dropped that many balls from his rookie year to '03, his best year, until now. I remember watching him in the games and '03 and was I don't remember seeing hardly any drops, just great catches. Then 2004 comes around, and we know what mess, that was, and then he drops a bunch of passes, and he has dropped some this year, too, obviously not even close to last year's but some drops nontheless. People forget though, that it takes almost a whole season for new qb, new o-line, new coordinator and the WRs to click and finally get their timing down. Suddenly gus is looking more accurate lately, he will throw bad passes, but some of theses throws or drops, were partly due to timing. Linehan comes down to the sideline to talk to the WRs players, and work ona nd set up some plays, the offense starts clicking and what do you know, Chambers is on pace for 1,000 + yards, plus Booker had a nice game. I think the run game will pick up too, S.D has a really good run D, I think that's why the running game had some problems.

I think its taken awhile for him to adjust to so many opportunities.
In prior years, pickens being as slim as they were, any pass attempt beyond 15 yards was almost an absurdity, while this year he's been comparatively inundated.
I think that was the knock on Joey Galloway No.4. in years past with Seattle. Although highly prized more for his speed, he seemed to take some time to come around.
Shouldn't take that long for CC, and expect progressively fewer drops as timing improves with Gus. Fortunately, he managed to produce, with the watershed of opportunity, he's been afforded.

The criticism was much deserved as much as the recognition he is getting now for playing lights out. Quit acting like his agent alright? He was dropping 3 balls a game. That stinks.

This is what we call in the real world, an apoligist.

Chambers is #3 on that list from AFC receivers behind Chad Johnson and Marvin Harrison, I think he just could make the Pro Bowl.

HA! I love that!

I like the way he stepped his game up - not this year - but in the last few games.....he still has had a few inexcusable drops between the numbers even during this good run and he still needs to hold on to the rock and be cognizant of when he is about to get tackled. Where is the awareness when he runs in the open field?

Love the guy, but he needs to continue to burn at a hot pace in order to make the pro bowl - I don't care what the numbers say.....Harrison, Johnson, Housmenzadah (sp?) are also having good seasons...but keep it up C.C.

/me rolls his eyes at the bandwagoners

I love how your all up in the grill about Chambers despite him breaking the 3 game run by any WR the dolphins have ever had but are leaving McMicheal alone who has stunk up the joint since signing his contract.

Chambers, remember, had to learn and develop under Dave Wanstadt. He came out great from college, probably got taught some bad habits, and now is recovering under Saban.
