Props to our defense

Good call. Fang and I were talking this morning about how we feel the defense will be elite this year. They havent done much to dissapoint. Too bad Jake Long blows and the coaching staff still dosent realize Ricky is the best player on our team. And really too bad we didnt draft Matt Ryan.

The defense is playing lights out. I don't care if they have given up 19 at this point. They have been on the field all day and the majority of the time in our end. We have lucked out with Elam missing a couple., but mostly they have been great. The offense is sh*t. WV you bring up Long, but it's the whole damn line. We have a huge pile of money in these guys and they are really stinking up the place.

Just awful.

The pass D has let up a few bad plays in zones, which was expected, run D has been darn near perfect. Not enough pass rush penetration.. but all in all, great defensive day.

Please stop.

We almost always have if not a great defense, at least a servicable one (2007 excluded.) Yet our offense always seems to be an embarrassment. Curse of Marino is upon us.

The Dolphins have had the ball more than Atlanta so to say the defense has been on the field the whole game is wrong

And I think if you review the game you will see the safety
pass defense play was terrible to say the least

and I have to agree with your final point on the offensive line lack of play...terrible

The D played quite well. Roddy White was held in check. Turner was *totally* held in check. Gonzalez did his damage though, and that's why they traded for him. Brilliant move.

Although I have to say once they got out to a lead the playcalling for ATL got fairly conservative. If they had continued to open up the passing game White would have had a bigger day. But they really didn't need to since the Miami O was so poor.

Merling and Taylor played like beasts today. Porter was disruptive as well, the front 7 all did well. Smith played solid in the back. Wilson and Bell = toast

Our defense looked outstanding today. I have to admit that Merling looked much better than anything he's showed previously. Kudos to him...

They played well enough for us to win the game, that's all you can ask.

Atlanta had what, 6 drives that started in Miami territory.

avg. start was something like own 45. that was worse than the ravens playoff loss.
