Props to Tannehill

All I'm saying is the defense played a heck of a game. If you disagree, then so be it. Could the offense only putting up 13 points have something to do with keeping the game close?

That long 3rd quarter dive by the Bengals most likely helped us stay in the game. It took the game out of RT and the officials hands for almost the entire quarter. Even though they screwed us on daltons sneak.

If anyone cant tell second half offense for the last two games have not been our strong suit. Congrats defense.

All I know is.

I saw Tannehill make some ELITE NFL QB type passes in this game. Keep giving this guy protection like the Bengals game and a half decent running game and he will continue this trend.

The "debated" Hartline catch, that was one hell of a throw. Under/Over coverage and drops it perfect to the outisde. Very, very few QB's in this league have the balls to attempt let alone complete that pass.

Tannehill led them to 13 pts if we're being mathematicians here. Though as you said, it should've been 23 with the Miller fumble and Sturgis missed FG.

Fair enough. And if we get 23 points out of our offense we should be in almost every game with the caliber of defense we can play.

A well place screen can be an elite type nfl QB pass. I dont think to many people here argue about his tools. Its his mental preparedness his locking on and forcing throws. The little things that seem to be missing. Like his shoulder leans, pump fakes, and foot work. Some of his passes sail on him.Last night he barely got away with a late slant to Hartline. Right now he is very predictable if he winds up he is thowing. I dont think he knows how to hold a saftey while he is in or out of the pocket. Making thows is the easy part making reads consistantly will make him elite.

I'm sorry bro but Tannehill did very little to win this game. If someone would have told me that our defense was gonna force 4 turnovers and get a safety I would have pictured us winning by several scores...If Tannehill would have played really well we would have. Not hating...just pointing out the obvious.

Dude, the kid was 20-28 in passing with NO interceptions. The running game was a big help, which is why he wasn't depended on heavily in the first half, but he came through in the end when we needed it most. The throw to Hartline was as clutch as they come.

The reason why we weren't winning by several scores wasn't his fault, if Miller didn't fumble the ball on the 10 yard line, or Sturgis didn't miss an early field goal, the game would've been out of reach early on.

C'mon man, give the kid credit when it's due.

It was ANOTHER of Hartline's ZERO SEPARATION windows, and Tanny dropped it in. When it takes an elite throw time and again for a WR to make a completion against single coverage... man. Get an upgrade.

But that was an elite thrown. Only a handful of QBs in the league make that throw: An out with zero window. Complete. Amazing.

Come on. The pass play to Sanu late in the game that Jimmy Wilson nearly defended was "zero window." Hartline had some separation there.

Some people just dislike certain players and will keep harping on it as long as they are one the team...

Shou...he had very little. At the same time...tell me you havent seen Tannehill put the ball in places where you went...Damnnnn not that was a throw...

Tannehill had a very solid game, who would dispute that?
*remembers what website he is on*

Ohhh right.

Can we not see that tannehill did his job? After everything that has happened,.he still had it in him to lead them into overtime. The defense had 4 turnovers but still gave up 20 points. Without tannehill, we lose this game. If tom brady did what tannehill did then people would be all over his junk.

I'm certainly splitting hairs in this thread, but it's a discussion board and I like to argue. He played ok, but if that is a very good game for him, then we have another Jay Fiedler. I liked Jay Fiedler, but I'd rather we not go through that again.

What???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Because he made plays with a training bra on.
If you can't tell the offense was so watered down so he DID NOT lose the game your tv or smart phone needs a larger screen.
Without the 8 points from the D and 1 extra point from the kicker this board goes nuclear.
Not only did Grimes save the GAME WITH HIS INT HE TOOK IT TO THE HOUSE BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOW THE OFFENSE GOES INTO A SHELL IN THE FOURTH.
Some people want a savior so bad they are willing to anoint a false prophet or at least one with training wheels.
