Big shout out to Grimes, Finn and the rest of the crew. I thought for sure they would get roasted by Marshall and Jeffery, but they held it down all game!

Yup. I'm here to eat my crow. I thought Marshall was going to make a fool out of Cortland Finnegan. I've seen him do it before and I thought he'd be amped for this game. Yet Finnegan & Grimes were great today.

Serve it up.

Finnegan had a nice bounce back...he looked horrible last week. Grimes on the sidelines at the end of the game is a concern though...hope he's not hurt.

They showed up and they played awesome. Glad to see them come back from last week and lock them boys down

Chicago really took the wrong approach to attacking us today until too late in the game. Coyle's scheme has never had problems being exploited deep for more than one or two shots a game. I realize that Chicago makes its bread and better with chunk plays from Jeffrey and Marshall, but Coyle's scheme is oh so incredibly vulnerable to being beaten with constant short and medium passes that just move the chains because of the cushion we give receivers, plus the usually spotty play from the LB's who take a lot of these responsibilities. Also, Chicago taking deeper shots also exposed Cutler to our best strength, the pass, which pocket presence and taking sacks has also been one of his biggest weaknesses.

Chicago is my second team because I usually watch them with my dad, so I knew the strengths and weaknesses of both teams really well today. Miami gameplanned much better than Chicago today to face the opponent they were facing.

It was probably one of those game plans were gonna do what we do for the Bears, instead of an attempt to exploit a weakness of an opponent.

Lots of folks thought the secondary would get roasted.......and on paper, they should have. But these guys play with a lot of heart and they were all 6'4'' tall today.

Lets enjoy the moment....

I was just about to start this same thread but I was gonna talk about grimes and finnigan specifically. All week we heard how small they were because of what the packers did last week but they all but shut down two of the biggest and best WR in the league. Finnigan started to get beat a bit in the 2nd half by Marshall on the comeback routes but he buckled down in the end. Jones played great! This team is much better with him back there. J. Taylor held his own and delmas presence was felt. Great day for the secondary

Finnegan redeeemed.

his neck must have still had some stiffness workin or something. weak tackling. much much better today....and he got into marshalls head in the end. beautiful.

It also helps that the good Jones come back from suspension. You know the one from 2 years ago. He was solid in run defense and that was a nice pick and return. Him and Delmas both played great behind the corners allowing them to play tight coverage for the most part.

Yep. I'm glad we didn't see as much of will davis. I'm ready for southbeach to come in with some stats ha. But Finnegan really redeemed himself tonight for last week. Taylor did pretty good, that was a stupid flag imo... But any word on Grimes?

Indeed. That was awesome, we needed Cutler to make a cutler-esque move, he does, and Reshad had a near pick six

Only three defenses have held Aaron Rodgers under a 100 passer rating: Detroit, Seattle and Miami. And Rodger's 56 % completion rate last week was his worst of the season.

It's no coincidence we had our best game of the season and Jimmy Wilson was nowhere near the field.

Amen! The secondary was great this afternoon, especially against a very talented and tall receiving corps.
